Joe...from one intern to another..i was just busting your chops about punk being CRA--..being doo doo.
The music rocks, and so do a lot of bands, but the er..'punk attitude' that people seem to take on with the music IS crap.
to me anyway, but in all fairness, i am a punk, just a different variety.
But atleast your not the only punk here..heh
and that wasn't my kidney you punched, it was my spleen!
gah...

I liked Blink 182's first album. That was the most punkish album they had. And when I refer to Pop, I refer to people Like N'sync and Destiny's Child. I admit that Blink's thrid album (Enema of the State) was really poor, and I didn't like it that much, but their best albums are their first and latest ones.

Sum 41? Oh please, Nu-Metal is just Hip-Hop with guitars... Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer music that actually requires talent to play...

Actually, Sum 41 are very talented. They play very good guitar, even though their songs don't make much sense. In my opinion, they are very talented. The drummer is very good, too.

I am surprised that there are people here that like the Beetles. One of my favorite songs By John Lennon is probably watching the wheels go round and Merry Xmas The war is over (thats my favourite christmas song it makes me get all chocked up) and Georgie is probably I got my mind set on you and Something but I got lots of favorites from these two.

1. What the hell is that?

2. Rock will outlast Nu-Metal because it's good. Almost all of the bands on my list are still going strong, and there are good new rock bands coming up all the time. Anyone heard of Muse? The Strokes? The White Stripes? Idlewild, anyone? And then there's other good music genres, like Indie [Gomez, Ocean Colour Scene, Paul Weller, all going strong], Trip-Hop [Massive Attack, Portishead, Morcheeba, none of them have broken up], etc. There will always be good music, no matter how many shit new genres appear...

Sum 41 isn't Nu-Metal at all. And they had "hip-hop" in one song. The fact that they "don't have talent" is very true (man, they suck live...). But that's the whole point of their music. I am starting to have second thoughts about them, though...
