What kind of computer are you using? If it's just a normal PC I would've thought you'd be able to plug in your old hard drive as an additional hard drive on your new computer, unless all the slots are used of course. No offense if you already know all that though.

I got a Gateway PC.
Apparently it has online support at support.gateway.com maybe I should try that out. I have no idea how I would go about putting a hard drive in a computer.

Her new computer might have SATA drives whilst the old one might be IDE. In that case, she'd need to get a USB drive enclosure.
