Actually, it would be pretty humorous to have one arrive with that name as a default.

So what was that about changing the name? How can one do that? Sneak isn't a terrible name, but I could think of something cooler.

You play DOA3(dead or alive3 for those who don't know)
And do a time trial. When you have to name your profile for the leaderboard enter what you want your xbox to be called BTW I named my xbox Alpha yay!

Mine has always been called 'Ghost'. I always wondered what the word Ghost was referring to before when on multiplayer Halo.

Put Halo 1, go to splitscreen, choose any level, and at the top left there should be a picture of an Xbox with two names at the top and the bottom. The top one will be your Xbox's name.

It doesn't have to be a Halo lan game. If you use any of the "tunneling" programs like xbox connect or kai link it will show your xbox's name in the pre-game loby.

Same here. Up until now I never even knew such a thing existed. And I don't exactly have a Halo LAN party outside waiting, or an Xbox Live subscription. But I'd be interested to know what my Xbox's name is.

I'm not sure if you can rename it any other way.... unless you get OXM?, if so then try a demo of DOA3 and hopefully that might work well I dunno.
