It's a strange movie.

The champion biker is kidnapped by the maufia so they will have contestants for a secret competition held among the maufia leaders. The biker's grandmother and her dog Bruno follow the maufia to a place called Bellville which is home to the now old and senial Triplets of Bellville who were once popular jazz divas back in the old days. The Triplets decide to assist the grandmother in finding and rescuing the champion.

Thunderbirds:....
First bad point: ****ing teenage main characters
Second Bad Point: A very Spy Kids-esque plot, to obviously bring it forward a generation from the old shows, and have the younger Tracey brother with his stupid little college friends go get a bunch of gadgets, and somehow, with no training, outsmart a very clever yet corny villain, recueing their highly trained professional adult superior superheroes who managed to be outsmarted and captured.

It will be devestatingly aweful.
All this I can tell from its trailer at Shrek 2.

:
]Is Aliens VS Predator in the Summer? That'll be the shit.
Do not judge this on any of the older ones or on the atrocious Jason v Freddy.
The trailers look absolutely awesome, this actually has a really good storyline, and I can't get enough of it. I can't wait to see it. Just ignore the terrible tagline: Whoever wins, we lose.
Taglines are always appalling. movies don't need em, why do they have them?!

I was surprised how good Shrek 2 was. Antonio Banderaz was great as Puss in Boots.

I think one of the original storylines for 'AvP' was better than the one they use now. I agree about the 'Thunderbird' thing though, looks poo.

Bah, Searex, I felt that Puss In Boots was a bit of a weak character used for like 2 laughs and a plot device. Though saying that I think he has potential in future sequals, which will, no doubt, be crap.

Did that make any sense to you, because it doesn't to me in my present state.

It makes something vaguely resembling sense.

But yeah, Puss was just for laughs. I still think Banderaz did I good job on the voice though.

Man, I'm hoping the Evangelion movie will be good as well, although I for one am not too concerned with the way the characters will have America-friendly names and ages. I just want them to keep all the religious overtones and gruesome imagery. This cannot be a happy high-fiving teens movie.

http://eva.trivialbeing.net/ is the site dedicated to gathering information on it, they have all the released production art so far.

It takes place in a rebuilt Tokyo after an object from space struck the Earth. The object turned out to actually be some kind of giant alien being. Since then, more of these beings start to appear and attack the city. They are called angels, and each has the name of an angel from Judeo-christian literature. The city's only defense against the angels are these giant bio-mechanoid creatures created from the DNA of the angels themselves. They're called Evangelions. Each "Eva" must be piloted by a young person chosen by when they were born in relation to the first impact. This process isn't as glamourous as in most "giant robot anime," the protagonists constantly encounter problems with the Evas and have to go to extremes to improvise. The story is very deep, theological, psychological themes abound. (For example, the angels have a special force field called an "Absolute Terror field," based on Freud's theory about psychological barriers created by youths who are abandoned by their parents, a theme which ties everything together in this story.

This is deplorable. Will, you should've stayed The Fresh Prince. No one would've thought the worse of you.

Fahrenheit 9/11 looks delicimouso.

Just got back from 'Fahrenheit 9/11.'

I must say I'm impressed. I went into the theater thinking the whole movie would be pure garbage and it turned out that only half of the movie was pure garbage. Surprisingly enough, Moore's bias and the way-out-of-context quotes didn't take away from his general message... which is... Bush is bad.

It had it's moments and the film generally got better when it started dealing with the war in Iraq. The plot structure was basically "Intro/Bush's election ---> Ties between Bush/Saudis/Bin-laden family ---> War in Iraq." The friendly US relations with Saudi Arabia segment was basically Moore just listing off the names of random people and conglomerates in the same format accompanied by weak accusations that were as unimportant as they were boring. However, the movie started to pick up when it moved to some good ole' mudslinging about US retaliation against the 9/11 attacks.

So, if you're a lefty (or just plain anti-American), go see it. If you're conservative, this movie probably won't change your mind about anything. Therefore, you shouldn't give your hard-earned money to a man you're going to end up hating by the end of the movie.

As a respectable documentary, I give it a -1 out of 5. As a truth-bending propaganda film, I give it a 4 out of 5.

As much as I hate America I won't bother to see it. I've had my fill of 9/11 crap, ditto with Dubya and his confusing ranting with his annoying cowboy voice. I'll just wait for the official reviews and claim I saw it if it's any good box-office wise.

Evangelion movie?! How could I, one of the greatest anime fans, miss this. SeaRex must be laughing at me by now.

Alien Vs Predator? Visit their website (guess the address). It looks pretty good, especially the part about the teenage Predators, I could just see them drinking beer and having a dorm party with a group of Predator cheerleaders.
It's supposed to be a much better VS movie than Freddy VS Jason, and as much of a Freddy and Jason fan I am, that movie was not what I expected considering it was the winning script out of thousands of others. Alien Vs Predator will be better, you'll see. I think so because the Predators and Xenomorphs were always serious, respected, killers.

Bush doesn't need Moore to make him look like a dumbass, but I still respect what Moore's doing all the same. Even if Farenheit 911 is alot of hype, it only means that what goes around comes around, and Bush should be hyped out of office.

I saw the trailer for AvP yesterday and my brother had a heart attack. He loves aliens and predators both. So, he pissed his pants in amazment during it.

I know one thing about it...a pred uses a nuke on a temple and it's all blue-white and spec-****ing-tacular

The creator says that there will be alternate/multiple endings, the one with the nuke was "predators lose" ending, the last predators are fighting off an army of Xenomorphs when they finally activate their self-destruct wristbands. A heroic way to go out.

Not sure. I know that they can print 2 versions of the movie and they may have alternate theatres for which one you want to see. When they release it on DVD you'll probly have the option of selecting which ending you want before starting the movie.

Dear lord, I hope not. Alternate endings should be reserved for special edition DVDs, not the big screen.

I personally hope the Predators win, mainly because the aliens have been done to death. They have what, five Alien movies? And one Predator? Yeah, I definitely have a higher tolerance for Predators than Aliens. And besides that, Predators are cooler. They remind me of the Kilrathi in Wing Commander.

Really? Was there a Predator 2 or something? Well still, Alien movies outnumber Predator movies at least two to one.

Predator 2. He crash landed in the city. There's a scene at the end inside the spaceship and on the wall you can see a Xenomorph skull hinting that they have hunted the Aliens aswell.

I'm actually quite curious to see what a mature Xenomorph looks like after it has popped out of a predator.

Human Xenomorph = Cool.
Dog Xenomorph = Lame.
Weird human resurrection clone baby Xenomorph = Hella stupid lame.
Predator Xenomorph = Sounds cool, but will probably be ultra super hella stupid lame.

Predator pics:

Predators are basically intergalactic hunter type people. I lurve them SO HARD because they collect skulls and put 'em on their wall. They have a shoulder-mounted gun with a laser guide, a cloaking device, and bunches of cool vision effects (heat, x-ray, electromagnetic, etc).

They also have some kinda honor code thingy. If they're "defeated" they self-destruct.

They, unlike Xenomorphs, are not evil per say, they are just hunters with very strict lives. In the second predator movie, they let the hero live because he was a worthy opponent thus proving that they are not evil, just honorable hunters who like a good foe.

Spoilers for Spiderman 2:

I haven't read this whole thread, so some of this may have been mentioned.
Spiderman was always going to be a trilogy, they said that before the first one came out. And (don't hold me to this) the next Goblin will not be the Hob Goblin, because that was someone else, but in the course of the comic books (which I have never read) there were a bout six Green Goblins, which that guy will be the next of. Now after Spiderman 1 came out I did a bit of research and the confirmed villains for Spiderman 2 were Lizard, Doc Ock, and there was one more they hadn't said yet. What the hell happened? Where did they all go? I know it would have been very hard to have three bad guys but they could have taken out all that crap in the middle of the movie where he loses his powers for an unexplained reason. Now seeing that they can't do more than one villain, who is outright pissed off that there will most likely be no symbiotes? I am!! Venom is an awesome character, and Carnage is my favourite!

Those were some of the only scenes that provoked laughter from me. You have to admit... they were pretty damn funny.

Other scenes that made me giggle (SPOILERS):
  • Train scene. New York stereotypes predictably "stand up" to Doc Ock so they can protect Spidey. New Yorkers: "Oh yeah? Well if you want him blah blah blah go through me first!" Doc : "Fine." SMACK! Oh, how I laughed. I was on the verge of applauding, but then I realized that no one else in the theater found Doc smashing up a bunch of pedestrians funny. So I didn't.
  • MJ: "Peter... I've always been in your doorway!" Umm... WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!
  • Hospital tentacle massacre scene. Near perfect, except for the fact that the asian chick somehow managed peel a metal floor with her fingertips when she was being dragged to her death. Feh...
On a completely unrelated note, I just got finished watching "The Triplets of Belleville." Not exactly a summer movie, but pretty good none the less. Nice exaggerated art style.
Don't forget

"Punch me and I'll bleed".

-OR-

"Peter, we cant get off if we were never on in the first place."

Both of those had me laughing out loud for a while. These writers should be shot.

But I really loved the movie, very entertaining. Sure, it wasn't all too original or anything special, but I liked how creative they got with the action.

Kirsten Dunst is a TERRIBLE actress though. Ugh.
