As a legal entity, Double Fine has more of a responsibility about the content of its message board than some Australian kid.

Yes they do. Here we have 'some Australian kid' (
) who incites a freedom that standard social so-called 'responsibility' inhibits by being relaxed and having a sense of humor, and letting others do the same.
Really I think that when you take away the right for reasonable personal expression you get an explosive backfire of rebellion; people going out of their way and trying very hard to 'fan the flames.' That's the root of the problem of 'censorship"- inhibition. I'm not saying that a forum like that should be
anything but what they are as they already have a purpose, but overratic admins don't help create a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
These kids aren't being exposed to anything they're not hearing out in the world anyway. On the other side of the coin, it is senseless to simply *let* people disrupt the intention of a forum like that and run it off the rails. We're talking about a video game forum for god's sake.
OANST, I've been banned from forums for questioning authority too. I was never disruptive.... it's just when asked for the reasoning behind certain rules it seemed the the administratorship that I was challenging their authority and *boom* I was banned, when all I wanted was a common sense explanation. I feel that rules without logical justification are unjust and more for the control of the enforcer.
I'm also a very anti-establishment thinker.
Screw forum politics and pecking order, the apponted 'leaders' are there for enforcement if necessary not 'control' like I see a lot of other places...... as I learned here back in '01:
My god, it's just a forum! Jeebus Christ save us all!
