I'm sure most of you will remember the "coming soon" Vykkers Labs access in the FeeCo Depot, maybe that entrance will actually be usable this time?

You mean this one?

Well perhaps we will enter to the labs this time if the theories are right (which I hope they are) and iirc the labs were originally used to be available in AE, but due to the short time they were cut out and only mentioned.

I attempted to isolate the right eye to make the reflection more clear and this is all I tried to got:

I believe this photo was taken at the labs for real. This all excites me

Looking at the pic again, is it me, or is there something in that "SS BREW STRAIN" Jar to the left of the poor Mud? It looks like there's something visible in that Jar, like something in it visibly.

Hard to tell when the photo is gray toned xD

Looking at those screenshots you guys found this game seems 100% a direct sequel to New 'n' Tasty. I like the way they are heading with Soulstorm. Exoddus was done in 9 months, but now this game is going to be way spokier than Exoddus. Hopefully one day, we'll get a trailer of everything we seen so far. That would be cool.

I feel like there are too many references to brew in the image, for it to be something as seemingly unrelated as the Mud getting his eyes stitched. Throughout the ARG, there have been numerous nods to there having been different test batches of brew (remember the paper document with redactions, that mentioned something to the effect of some batches being lethal). The 'strain' tank affirms this. We know that the brew will be flammable this time around, with hints it can be used in game as a weapon. Clearly, that stuff isn't just a bad taste if the mix is wrong- it's deadly.

The Vykker connection makes a lot of sense if you consider this angle, that in order to get the brew ready for sale, it likely began with animal testing, gradually progressing to actual Mudokon test trials until they could confirm it's fit for consumption.

In Alf's Escape, Alf was already selling brew, which would seem to suggest the pictures from the ARG were taken a long time ago, well before Brew was finalised, produced and sold.

As an aside, it would be very cool to have the Vykker's Labs door accessible, assuming that FeeCo would have a similar layout. If this were the case though, would the design of the labs (as an airship) need to change? I can't see a train making it's way up to a moving airship! Unless the door in FeeCo would lead to a kind of flying taxi rank or shuttle bus.

Don't worry this works great as a summary and the other theories you made are really interesting. Haven't think of that strain image as a reflection. Really great pic Shade.

I think they're not really gonna change it, at least upgrade/remaster it and make it more you know, dark I'm curious too of how they're gonna make a connection between FeeCo and Vykkers Labs (if they include them for real).

What if there's a kind of airport where the Vykker's Labs can land in the FeeCo Depot and they made a door and corridor that is connected with the main door of the Labs. Just a thought.

Might have been mentioned before, but maybe the Mud in the picture is less being dissected/surgically screwed up to make brew, but rather, they're testing brew on them, possibly by injecting it directly into the bloodstream? It would somewhat explain the distant, trancelike stare, he's in some kind of Brew-indused trance. The 'strain' would be different combinations of ingredients for the brew, and they just keep injecting and testing until they can find something that's less likely to violently kill the mudokon before the sligs can.

Fun fact: Coca-Cola was invented as a medication against headaches and was only later produced as a soft drink. Oddworld has plenty of parallels with the real world, so its an interesting thought.


I also heard original coca cola was used to burn the rust off of
car bumpers, coins and even clean toilets.

But what would vykkers put in a drink to make it highly addictive? Especially given that as brew is exsplosive

I just wanna say that the airship wasn't the only Vykkers Labs, just the first flying one. It's quite likely the FeeCo train led to one of the ground based ones.

I hope we do get to see more of the other Vykkers Labs, before and after 13, also it seems like the Glukkons funded Vykkers Labs 13.

In AE, you could see Vykkers Labs door and also RuptureFarm's door. It was foreshadowing (and a way to show that they're all part of the Magog Cartel): Vykkers Labs is actually a playable level in MO. Moreover, Abe and Munch were meant to visit the ruins of RuptureFarms in MO (not AE).

Yeah, I know, but who knows, I said that because they say is a "new" game, it's a "re-imagining" of AE iirc, so they may introduce new levels or stays, (or maybe the Vykker's Labs only appear in scenes).

I seem to remember something about Vykkers Labs 13 being the first fully airborn facility built by the Vykkers. In which case, it would make sense for a stationary facility to be accessible via the Feeco Depot.
