Well it's at 1,700 views with 91 likes and growing, plus Lorne and the people at JAW have seen it, so I'd say that's a huge success.
It's a shame the people on the Minecraft Forum spotlighted a stupid movie about fishing spartens instead of Minecraft Abe, but whatever.
Actually I'm thinking hard about where I want to go from here, and I'm undecided on making more FMVs (since I seem to be good at making them and the production of them will actually involve people) or continuing with making the adventure map.
For the FMVs, I've had a deep, long thought about how to do stuff, and will have to play around with mods to make some scenes work, I'll run some feasibility tests - There will have to be lots and lots of compromises which people may not agree with.
However, it won't take 7 months to produce 3 minutes of footage, since now I know what I'm doing and I'll be building sets as film sets rather than with the idea to make them playable levels later, so only need to build what will be visible.
In the mean time the adventure map will take a long time, won't involve much in the way of other people to help build although it will be interactive later, and I don't have THAT many ideas for it. It may also be not as popular. But we'll see - I would like to do it at some point, perhaps even work on it at the same time, but it may be an idea for the back burner.
EDIT: Also I'm considering re-releasing the original video in German if I can persuade a friend to help me with text translations... Getting the audio for it and applying it to the vid is very easy. As for other languages - No problem with the audio, but translating the text may be a lot harder.
