You know what else is a GREAT book, The Giver. I really enjoyed that book

Ha. I read that in 5th grade. It was good.

But if you want the book it was GREATLY inspired by, you should read '1984.' Or some Kurt Vonnegut short story that has to do with the same subject matter. I forgot the name. But a ballerina gets shot. It's brilliant.

I've read dozens of books, but my favourites have to be Brave New World, A Clockwork Orange, and a fantasy series, The Sword of Truth, by Terry Goodkind. They're fantastic books.

Stephen King is an amazing writer, but yeah his plotlines are getting stranger and less interesting (plus his endings usually suck). I read IT in....5th grade maybe? Still love that book though, I've re-read it at least three times since then. As for fantasy, David Edding's books are usually pretty good. I liked them more than the whole lord of the rings dealy just because they were so damn entertaining. Hmmm...taco

I'd have to agree on the Giver being one of my favorite books...been a long time since I've read it though. Enders Game is an extraordinary book too and out of all the Harry Potter books Goblet of Fire is my favorite.
