My cousin had one of those, I have fond memories of playing games like Llamatron and Lotus Turbo Challenge together with him on it.

It kind of makes me wish I had one, but instead I grew up with a Machintosh SE playing games like Shufflepuck Cafe, and Beyond Dark Castle, then later a Machintosh LC and playing games like Quagmire and Malestrom (asteroids clone) in colour (and of course using both for actual computing - The Mac LC had Photoshop 2.0 on it! I still have those kicking about, no idea if they still work), and then later still I got an old 133 MHz Pentium I or some shit and played old DOS classics, such as Commander Keen.

Ah, nostalgia and memories.

i've never played those, Llamatron looks fun. my favourite games were Eye Of The Beholder, Moonstone and this animated Chinese chess game thing. that was great. Lost In Mine was an unusual one. i always remember the little man would shoot himself in the head when you quit the game.

oh and Orc Attack. what a fucking game that was.

I used to use this phone on a regular basis, not the oldest of the lot, but pretty old. Only infrared file sharing, not bluetooth here!
I'm yet to test this with my Libretto because they both have infrared, the only thing that's stopping me is that the SIM card isn't in the phone anymore and so it won't get to the menu. None of my other SIMs work either.
Shame really, it had a ton of games. It's a k300i by the way.

@OddMan - Pfft, I was still using this ancient thing since 2001 until the charging socket finally broke on it last year - And it was old even when I got it! It would still work today if I had a way of charging the battery:

There's no dictionary definition of retroness. Anything that has been superseded can be regarded as retro.

No. I'm not old enough to have anything that was produced after I could walk to school on my own retro.

I refuse.

I used it from 2001 onwards as a hand-me-down thing. In fact it's a Nokia 5190 from 1997. 15 years. I think that counts as retro as far as mobile phones are concerned... That's as old as Abe's Oddysee.

And it was old even when I got it!

I've been thinking about upgrading the Libretto's hard drive to 16GB+ using a funny IDE SSD replacement. Shouldn't be too difficult since the Libretto has just 2 screws and the Hard Drive can just be slid out and replaced with another 2.5" IDE Hard Drive. The thing that confuses me though is the fact that the hard drive takes up like 70% of the space in the unit, how is there room for PCMCIA and other computery stuff.

Also, I'm going to try and take it to a tech shop to swap the standard old 6.1" TFT Display with a touchscreen, 100% possible as special models have been made in the past with this exact spec.

The touchscreen is undoubtedly the most exciting thought.

Finally! The Libretto now has 40GB instead of 1.5GB! This was not an easy hack by any means and almost lost the Libretto. It fell on the floor with the motherboard out because I was working with my friend on it and somebody knocked it off but now it's absolutely fine and works great!

That is one awesome looking Gameboy. I've always had a thing for semi-transparent plastic on games.

I have the black one as well, but not with a grey controller, mine has opaque coloured yellow, blue, red and green. Twisted Edge and V-Rally Edition 99 are my favourites without a doubt and unfortunately there aren't any good pc rom dumps for them.
