I probably got my position because no other moderator of the forum is interested in RPGing anymore. Basically years ago, the current RPG mod vanished off the face of the Earth for a while and the RPG section bascially exploded due to a complete lack of moderation. T-nex was appointed the emergency replacement moderator, probalby cus she was the most active member in the forum at the time. When she left she suggested me as a replacement.
Not entirely sure why I got the FC job as well, but years ago when they still did the election system I applied for the position and got about 1 vote (from myself
). I was, when I first joined, very active in FC so I guess that's why I got it now.
Something about being a mod always appealed to my tyrannical nature, and it has been fun. I don't know if its because I'm secretly deep down a power-mad, tyrannical lunatic, or cus it means when I see someone breaking rules I can do something about it, rather than having to leave it to someone else.
Plus I get to see all the sordid goings-on of the employee lounge. Every student in the world wants to see what's going on in the employee lounge.
