Also, I love how in MM everyone had personalities and lives-something TP lacked big time. Hyrule felt so empty in that game-a shame as it's gameplay and plot was sooooo great.

face humping re-deads. Nuff said.
They scared the living daylights outta me after going to the Royal Family Tomb in OoT.

They remind me of headcrabs.

The ones in WW weren't that bad. It was just as baby Link in Hyrule Field, more specifically after just getting out of Deku Forest there was on slightly to the southeast that looked like a house. You get anywhere near it and it starts flying with spikes, making a weird WOOM WOOM sound and then smaller ones come out of it. By that point you don't have the boomerang so you can't actually hit it.

And the worst part?

It looks like some kind of Lovecraftian monstrosity. Seriously.

At least the rape zombies are visually recognizable.

I love Zelda, I have all the games except the handheld ones. I'm playing Link to the Past atm; I think it's the best Zelda game artistically because it contributed so much like: the Master Sword, Zelda's Lullaby, light and dark world gameplay, etc.

But they're all good as hell

They follow a similar pattern only with twists. Its not a bad thing, I actually like it.

Yes, except perhaps MM's real time world and...huh. Cant think of another example right now. lol And that's why mario bores the hell outta me now. As Shigeru Miyamoto put it, "The nintendo of today would not have hired me."

I've been playing through the original Zelda on the NES. I love this game to death although it is suprising challenging even now. If you know the right routes and secrets it is easliy the shortest Zelda game.

Not pre-ordered. Planning on getting it for Christmas, because playing Zelda on Christmas day brings back good memories.

My friend got the game today and he has sent me four text messages within two hours all about how great Skyward Sword is. This is the first Zelda game that has got my interest. If I'd have a Wii, I'd get this.

Pre-ordered Skyward Sword also, the limited edition one at that. This is going to be my proper introduction into the Zelda games.

I don't think not getting passed the second dungeon in Links Awakening counts as an introduction.

Played Skyward Sword for the first time today! I'm really enjoying it so far, and the sword mechanics are fun. Only thing that's annoying me about it at the moment is the emphasis on moving the Wii remote for certain sections, I've always hated having to keep it still in one place, it kills my arm. Other than that all is great, it's far more Zelda-y than Twilight Princess.

I find it so chilling that there is a split where Link actually fails in OoT.

Does this make it a little easier to understand, Chris? The only branch I can't get my head around at the moment is the one where Link fails.
