The images are mostly based on my impression (or indeed my perception of the general forum impression) of the mod in question, names, sigs or avatars. Alcar naturally gets a solid gold, blingaliscious coat.
Drawing my own character was pretty hard cus I don't know how I appear in the eyes of the forumers.

Alright Havoc, I know you came off worse there but look on the bright side; I still have my sprites from the 'Bikini for Havoc' thing and there was temptation...

That is awesome, and now I love you. Xav and Abe Babe look particularly cool. Peter’s coat looks more like that of a pervert flasher to me. But why do I have a hat and staff?

I was particularly pleased with how Hobo looked. I had to cop-out on Nate though cus I really never talk to him so don't know him that well, and he doesn't have a banner for me to rip off. If anyone has any better ideas I'm open to suggestions.

Took me about forty minutes to draw all the characters; the girls really took the longest, what with the robe-things, shoes and hair. Then another hour or so for drawing and arranging scenery.

Hobo is super, exactly as he should be. I now expect him to look like this when I meet him. Also, if Peter isn’t wearing a gold flasher coat I will be very disappointed. Now explain Nate and Sander.

Xavier is cus of his avatar, which I'm fairly sure is the same as it was 6 years ago when I joined(though please don't take my word for that).
Havoc is fairly obvious.
Hobo is also fairly obvious.
Alcar gets a gold coat cus he is lord of us all.
Abe Babe is based on the FF character she squees over in her sig.
Max is a wizard cus wizards know everything and so does Max. (to put it naively)
Nate was cus I couldn't think of anything better, but that image vaguely sort of reminds me of Nate.
My picture was cus I don't know how you guys see me, so I got silly with colours and put in the little red flag with the 'S' on it that Red Muse gifted me years ago when I was but a wee newblet. (That's right boys and girls; all these giant important people with banlists, funky titles and the key to Employee Lounge were once newbs too.)
Mojo was based on the colour scheme of his sig cus again I don't know him as well as I should.
And Rexy's just Rexy. I changed the colour of her dress about four times and even went into the most recent 'What Do You Look Like' thread (really ought to post in there one of these days) to try and get her hair colour approximately right.
