I wonder...Do you guys want me to post anymore videos about these tricks, including the speedrun, or would you rather wait for me to get a capture card, which is probably going to be another 5 months!! Oh, what is a 15 year old boy who has homework everyday that lasts until bedtime supposed to do to earn more money than 3 dollars a week allowance!

Work faster, or do more work at school. I balance homework, 2 instruments and numerous out of school commitments fairly well.

That's not exactly the point I was referring to. How do I get a considerate amount of money when my only hobbies and interests are math and video games at the age of 15? I guess I just have to wait like I've done for the past 3 years.

My point is that what you treat like lots of work is really shit all. If you really want money there isn't much stopping you.

Thank you; I needed that.

Now as I was saying before, does anyone here still want to see more videos of the tricks that I found, or should I just wait until I get cature card?

Okay, I'm gonna ask for a capture card for Christmas. I just want to have the footage to be 360p at the most, so what kind would you recommend me asking for? By the way, if anyone knows of a capture card that works with Linux, that would be great to know too.

Ignoring the past few posts, I have been making more videos of tricks in this game probably because I'm starting to lose control over my needs' powers or something, with Winter Break and all, so here's what I've made this month.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6STc8iScGs- Fatty McBoomBoom early
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFppswKNUAE- Boombat Jumping into death
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJeT_QHMmTA- wall clip
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTkFcYjM9TM- multiple ways to get OoB in the last room
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aECV8M-c6tE- Boombats early
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEs5-ANKT3s- strange Dialogues in Buzzarton
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfZJOs7hEl4- the Infinite Rope Glitch
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELNQevZrigA- miscellaneous stuff to do with a boat
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtU9ChBN_NI- highest point to reach in the last room

Thanks to Christmas, I now probably have money to buy myself a capture card, so next year, the videos I make should become slightly better; I'll hope.

I'm going to be making a real speedrun of this game for SDA as soon as I can get my encoding difficulties out of the way, so I thought I would say that and make this video to show that I'm still working on a speedrun for this game.

If anyone cares anymore, I'm still working on a Stranger's Wrath speedrun, but I'm now starting to work on a 100% run.

I'll put back my old videos that relate to this thread in this post, so yeah:

Watching you play these games is almost hypnotic. There's a little voice in my head that says "You will NEVER be as good at game as this man."

Have you ever done a timed speedrun, using all of your cheats? How long do you think the game would take you from start to finish?

A TAS would be nice but I'm assuming that it's too early for Xbox at the moment?

I wouldn't really categorise glitches and cheats in the same section, but I am very curious as to what an Xbox version speedrun would be clocked at.

A TAS would be exciting but I doubt there are any very developed emulators for XBOX as there are to other consoles like the Wii/Gamecube or the PS2 (which have very useable and compatible emulators now; TAS' can be done on these with ease). There exist none that are very developed and certainly none that would be suitable for a TAS at least.

I remember doing a speedrun many months ago with a crappy timing method, I'm pretty sure I just looked at my room's clock that counted in minutes, and I got around an hour and ten minutes. Since then, I've been wanting to get less than an hour, but I've never done another full run of this game because I've been focusing more on doing the skips consistently than an actual speedrun. After I'm done with my 100% speedrun, I'm going to actually try to make an any% run, so I'm hoping that I can finish both runs before the end of my Summer break.

Here's a failed speedrun attempt I did about a week or so ago, which also shows this strange 4-yellow-stars glitch on two of the enemies:

I don't think this video has any glitches in it, so I'll put it here. This is what a low% speedrun route would kinda look like for Packrat Palooka if I didn't screw up:

I don't know if I should make a new thread about this because it basically goes with this thread: Do all of the tricks in this thread work for the HD version? If they don't, then I'll upload a different method for doing a trick and someone can tell me if that method works or not. It's still going to be about a week or two before I can start recording the speedrun again, so I might as well do this in the meantime.

This is what Sekto's timed room should look like in my speedrun once I can finally get what I need to record it. -_-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDeWcwQipzk

Also, should I make a new thread to figure out new methods for doing this game's route in a speedrun of the HD version? It would be like what my above post says, so I don't really know if it would be worth making a new thread for.

This is the closest I've ever gotten to skipping Xplosives McGee:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faf-Xhnap8c

And here's how I got inside the unloaded Port Authority:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lo3T1qA7nW8

I'm pretty sure that loading zones will only be activated if Stranger touches the trigger with his model, and not when he's OoB, but I've seen a few occasions where I believe the room loaded without me having to touch the exact trigger. If I could figure out how to load the Port Authority while being out of bounds, then I could skip the only difficult bounty in the current any% run. I've tried a whole lot of different ways to try to get the room to load, but maybe I'm just not thinking of something, so if someone could give me some ideas or something on what I could do, that'd be nice.

I've just watched some of these videos and read through a bunch of the glitches you've posted. And I always thought Stranger's Wrath was one of the most non-glitchy games I'd ever played. I also always thought I was quite good at the game. This proves me very wrong in both respects.

Very awesome. I'm looking forward to the speedrun.

I've decided to upload what I have of the 100% speedrun right know, so I can add the rest of the segments as I do them from this week and so on. Ignore the SDA intro and outro to the videos; this run should be on SDA soon enough.
