Secret, personalized, vicious messages would be pretty amusing, I must admit.

And depending on how they address the users most people would probably think said messages were referring to other characters in-universe. This is a horrible idea.

I recall in a previous thread the idea of having ratz running around in certain parts of the game would "ruin the mood" since everything felt so desolate in the original. Now that I think of it that's pretty dumb because there was no part of AO that felt lonely. Even when you get deeper into Rupture Farms you still worry about running into the occasional slig and slog kennel. Ratz being disturbed by your walking and scurrying about might cause accidental jump scares if the atmosphere is captured well and they aren't as apparent as the birds were.

I'd like some kind of easter egg showing the existence of other creatures we were introduced to after AO or even creatures we haven't gotten the pleasure to meet yet but I don't necessarily care for any cameos.

I think ratz are a bad idea just because the name is so stupid. They used to be a little bit imaginative with Slogs and stuff, you can tell they were running out of steam with "Ratz".

What would be better is if the texture on the bees had very tiny "STM"s written on them. You'd have to zoom in on the texture to see it.

If I worked for JAW, I would investigate whether there was a way to identify a player by his/her Steam user ID, then change the LED screens to custom, obscene messages.
