In regards to 1029.io/8291, the ONE time I say something not entirely positive about OWI.

I was wrong ok, Ed, this ARG is cool af.

Just a tought:

Shouldn't we look at finding the direct links of the posts that are featured on [1029.io/ed]?
Not a bad idea.
Maybe the post numbers are significant; that'd be far-fetched and highly coincidental but, damn, after the events which have preceded... I wouldn't put it passed them.

The only thing about that idea is that 8291 doesn't seem to correlate with the post linked therein.
What do you think the significance of that post was?

What if we are The Spirit Of 1029?
I like that.
So... how do we access our twitter account?
Maybe there's an email & password to be figured out, hah!

:
Wait, what if THIS IS ED?
That would be one hell of a twist.
So... we need to look within ourselves?

"8291" page updated and no longer redirects to post of STM

http://1029.io/8291/

EDIT: I guess the thing which we need here is in CSS, because color of numbers is
:
color: #8291ed;
I also think this might have some meaning in future
:
font-family: 'Cousine';
background: #404040;

Woah... 8291 has changed.
It's just giant numbers now... but the colour hex is #8291ed

EDIT: Also 1029.io/ed links to his Twitter account now.

Just a tought:

Taking those two pieces together, shouldn't we look at finding the direct links of the posts that are featured on the Ed page?

I recognise my opening sentence for the first post about the SoulStorm ARG. I would do it myself but I don't have the time right now. :/
Probably not as they changed what the urls were linking to:

http://1029.io/8291/
http://1029.io/ed/

Okay, some thoughts
Here's the pieces 1029.io highlights (from top to bottom)

First (1):
:
@@@ @@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@ (@

- every code starts and ends with @;

Among other highlighted phrases are
:
Spirit Of 1029
(note big "O")
:
HE has lit a firE in our hEarts
:
Join us.
As for numbers

:
33 74 72 83 51
considering we basically "lost" our codes due to Ed removing em' with chatbox at Soulstorm, I think there should be another way to decipher them, not the method used by Nikit15 to find 1029.io.

Converting to ASCII (Dec) gives
:
!JHS3
ASCII (Hex) gives
:
3tr?Q
Where "?" is empty symbol because of lack of symbol for #83

EDIT:

There's also 3 phrases which are glitching with red:
:
Spirit of 1029
(glitch deletes "We are the" before it)
:
ignitE a rEvolution
:
ThErE’s a storm coming.

OWI posted new message:

https://twitter.com/OddworldInc/stat...44243357679616

Note that piece of logo, marked green in my last post, highlighted again on their img.

EDIT: Rainbow in background makes me to think of
1029.io/8291, where these numbers are colored with #8291ed color.
Guess we have to color some highlighted codes which I talked about in my last post...

EDIT2:

:
*///* WE ARE THE SPIR *** 1-----029 *** E ARE MAN/Y. WE AR *** ILL R////ISE AGA ***/
I've got a feeling that number of "/" AND "-" is the number of code fragment current message is addressed, so it's like

:
*///* WE ARE THE SPIR
for piece of code #3

:
*** 1-----029
for piece #5 (?)

:
*** E ARE MAN/Y. WE AR
for first one
:
*** ILL R////ISE AGA ***/
Even though five slashes, considering only four are together, I think it's for piece #4 (or #5?)

And the text for each piece must be encoded color or something.

BTW, as somebody mentioned - symbol really reminds of Rupture Farms:

As well, as colors pattern - from blue at top to rather red at bottom

To me it's like simple version of Magog Cartel logo or Sekto. In any case it's octigi's menace

That is pretty much the same shape as Ruptire Farms' facade...
I always picture the original RF so that hadn't even crossed my mind, even tho I was already looking for instances of that logo elsewhere.
Good eye!

Yeah, now it's mentioned it is pretty much the same shape as that Rupture Farms. Pretty cool and it makes sense. As for the other clues, I'm not sure the highlights on the logo mean anything in particular, other than looking all glitchy and cool. You never know though, everything in this ARG seems to be relevant.

Ugh, same here, even though I like the new design, the old one is rooted in my mind. It seems so obvious now that someone pointed it out.

I think it's pretty cool to have a distorted picture of RF as symbol of the SO1029 movement.

Sounds like another one of those tasks to gather likes and shares?

Is there any way to DM Oddworld's entire Twitter follower-base and strike up as much knowledge and interest of the ARG?

As it stands, I'd say everyone participating would fit in a restaurant and that ain't enough, boy howdy!

OWI tweeting a link to the 1029.io site is probably the most vocal they've been about the ARG so far, which is nice. It would be great to have more people in the know, considering the amount of time and planning OWI have put into it so far. I suppose part of the whole atmosphere was it being sort of secretive, but hopefully if people go sleuthing they might find us.

It's also kinda strange to see them openly acknowledging the ARG's existence, but cool at the same time

Just checking in.
Hm, so it looks like more Ed wants followers, retweets; spread the hype?

Also, organise what I wonder?

Soulstorm Brew Resistance? Rebellion? If we have Ed, surely that implies Abe's not alone in the world against the brew?

Wow I have missed a lot.. Anyways I was just messing around with the new arg info and I wanted to see if something happened if you put 8291 and Ed together in the 1029.io page and what I got was 1029.io/8291/ed and I got a page that has the text from the normal 1029 page but every E and D are capitalised. Now I don't know if this is just my phone messing up or if it's really a page but I thought I'd say something about it

It's not your phone that's messing up. It seems like this site appears whenever you type:
http://1029.io/8291/anything
or
http://1029.io/anything

On the page text, the letters E T N O are sometimes highlighted – reload the page a number of times and you will eventually see it:

EDIT:

HIDDEN, ERASED, and LOST are also sometimes highlighted:

Different sections of the ASCII logo are also highlighted when you reload multiple times. I’m not sure if there’s a correlation, let me check. EDIT2: No noticeable correlation between the logo highlights and the text highlights.

Yes, it definitely seems E N T O are important could it be an an anagram?
TONE?
NOTE?
A clue that we are to take "note" to the words and sections of the logo highlighted, parhaps?

They wouldnt highlight words on the page for nothing right? Just need to figure out a pattern, not sure what it is or if it just needs to be reloaded __ number of times

Edit: or maybe we won't see any real clues until__ number of likes and/or follows on the Twitter account but will keep checking

TONE?
NOTE?
I was running with this idea to maybe try and find a tone in the 8291.mp3 video - perhaps one that has been hidden, erased or lost - and find its note but I'm in Lapland, away from my computer now.
Maybe someone else could have more luck.

For example, 82.91 Hz sounds like
http://onlinetonegenerator.com?freq=82.91
and 8291 Hz would be
http://onlinetonegenerator.com?freq=8291

If we found a tone, got the note, got the frequency of the note, maybe we'd have another set of numbers or an alphanumeric code.
Maybe it's elsewhere than the video.

These are some of my thoughts.

Ive seen examples of this in other ARGS (Like the valve ones), and there might be something in the waveform of it. There's probably a code hidden in it, if you can manage to visualize the sound of it somehow.

There was also a red herring one back during the last Steam Winter Sale.
I actually have the badge you get from doing a certain string of events during the sale, but I don't remember what it was.
You can't do it any more, either.

Well, I'm happy to help with sharing and liking for all the good it will do. I doubt I'll be any good with deciphering clues though.
