IC:
Ark shifted uncomfortable when #7 Slig mentioned something about mines... exploding. The task wasn't directed at him, but it still made him nervous. He was about to say something when the other Slig next to him (Nick) voiced his concerns. Ark was partially relived at the Slig's response, but it meant that he might be asking #7 some more questions before he left.
Since it seemed that Ark would have to wait while #7 worked out some more pressing matters, before he would be giving any details about what he found, he thought that he would ask the robot about what happened to the Mudokon that helped him. As he started to face the robot he heard a familiar voice say,
"Heart of a scrab, he's got. Found a kindred spirit here, 7. I don't want to disturb your lovely reunion. I'm going to get some work done."
Ark immediately froze, his body having tensed up. 'Oh shi-, no wait, she doesn't seem to have recognized you yet. Don't let her notice you. Just stay calm, act natural, yeah. No wait, that would draw attention after what you just said, it would look suspicious if you don't care about what's going on. And besides, what's natural for you? You just recently got back into work, you don't even know anything about acting 'normal' in this situation. Uh... look tired, yeah, that will work. Most Mudokons looked tired a lot of the time, right? Stop holding your breath in, breath! Now drop your shoulders just a bit, look like your arms are heavy. Ok... um, should my eyes be nervous or heavy? Go with both, that's easy to pull off... maybe... ok not so much, go with slightly heavy, don't want to make seem like I'm bored. Wait until she's gone. Don't look at her, just stare at the corner...' Ark's inner monologue raced through his head as the Coal colored Mudokon walked out of the room.
As soon he couldn't hear her anymore, Ark sighed heavily. He really didn't want to have to deal with her again, especially after what had happened during all of their past encounters... they never seemed to end well for him. Looking down, Ark saw that his tattoos had been gleaming in the dim light ever so slightly. 'Wow, either she's really out of it, or doesn't remember me at all,' Ark thought as he took a few more deep breaths, in an effort to bring his tattoos back to their normal black complexion, 'Though, maybe, she is so full of herself that she just doesn't bother remembering or noticing anyone.'
Bringing his head back up, he stared into the... 'face'?... of the robot. Its cold, stationary, stare gave him second thoughts about asking it anything. Indeed, Ark started to doubt that it would be able to answer him at all. Turning back to the two Sligs, Ark asked, "So, should I just wait here? Or do you need me to do something while you get this sorted out?"
Ark glanced over his shoulder momentarily at the robot, just standing there. It made him uneasy.
OOC:
I completely forgot that Dionysia was in the room as while, and apparently Ark thinks in the second person now... huh. And I'm pretty sure that Ark's gun is still in the cafeteria, but does any one want to confirm that?
