Mine is a meme that somehow found its way into OWF one fateful day and it had infected everything on the forum. Everything. I'm sure MM could fill you in better on what happened.

A minor member called Taco made an Abe version of Excited Fists Guy.
Alcar, being a dick, pasted it in the corner of OWF. On every page.
Everyone else, being dicks, started complaining. The general consensus after a few days was "I am fucking sick of looking at that thing every time I open a new page".
I, being a dick, decided to make it my avatar so people had to look at it even more.
Pilot, being a dick, followed suit, and this being OWF, a bandwagon emerged.
After a few days of confusion people started editing theirs to make it more recognisable - flipping, inverting, whatever - and the rest is history.
