I reckon their best bet would be to make perhaps a new Abe game- the same old Abe we all know and love, but perhaps polished and smartened up a bit to attract more of an audience. If the original plan was to make 5 Quintology games, with Abe featuring as one of the main characters in each one (like he did in MO) then I think they should stick to that, in shiny HD. Any Oddworld game at all would be nice, of course. Anything Oddworld, in fact. Even Oddworld- shaped...just something...

It wasn't. Abe was one of 5 heroes that would emerge throughout the quintology. They were each going to originally have their own moon also, but I recall Lorne being unsure of the wisdom of this decision; it may seem to consequential.

EDIT: I think the 5 moons were going to be kept and the idea that they were created as they became heroes (i.e. as Abe escaped Rupturefarms) was scrapped.

Yes, we had Abe Munch and Steef, that's three of the five but there where going to be lots of sub games like AE and ME that followed on from their predecessors' and thus, didn't count towards the five heroes, I think that the last game would have all the heroes together maybe.

Stranger doesn't count as a Quintology game.

As far as I'm aware, Abe was always going to be the first of the five heroes. You're probably thinking of the story of Lorne telling Sherry first of all the story of Squeek. He probably did that because he thought that story would appeal to her the most.

Erm... I think that you might have misunderstood Phylum's point. The way I interpret it is that he's saying that Abe is just one of five heroes but not commenting about the order. He, in turn, appears to have misunderstood GlukkonGluk's point that Abe was appearing in all five games as meaning that Abe would be the most important of the heroes.

So, to clarify for everyone:
a) Yes, Abe would have appeared in all the games. Munch would appear in games 2-5 and Squeek would appear in 3-5.
b) No hero is more or less important than any other. Their order implies nothing more than the character's place in the wider Quintology story and their place in Mudos society (given that the Quintology follows a path from the furthest reaches of civilisation to the innermost cities).
c) Lorne told Sherry about Squeek first. We don't know why.

After OddBox please finish Citizen Siege Lorne! :P Then I'd really appreciate something Oddworld related maybe they should just start the quintology over via movie remakes of the games and go from there, that would probably be the most profitable way of bringing Abe to us.

Oh and in a dream scenario the biggest suprise at E3 this year would be an unveiling of a new Oddworld game >_>

I would be rather estatic if, after the Oddbox and ASN, Citizen seige and the Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee film were completed
