OH!By the way, in www.megagames.com i found an incredible legal trainer for Abe's Exoddus!Press F7 and you will get a red exploding ring to destroy chant globes etc., and F8 and you will get an invisibility rind that last a long time!
Thanks, I'll be sure to test it later.
Max, awesome images!

Thanks, Alex. I’m definitely going to check these out.

In the future, though, it would be great if you could use the EDIT button that appears at the bottom of your post instead of double‐ or triple‐posting. It just makes things look a little cleaner.

I've just had a thought... What if someone were to warp a Slig to areas with Muds that you aren't suppose to kill, and kill them? Maybe it's possible to kill all Muds after all?

Not quite. There are a few extra ones you can kill, but you still need to rescue a couple to open regular doors, which you can’t bypass with -ddcheat. You could bypass them with the Path Skip cheat, though.

p.s. The editor is quite fun, once you get familiar with how not to crash it. There are some security orbs you can destroy with the spirit rings to possess characters you wouldn’t normally be able to.

path skip cheat will not help, because it modifies the numbers of rescued/killed mudokons, for example you are in brewery, hub 3, saved 250 muds, now if you use this cheat to get to game ender, you will see that you have only 140 muds saved... you can use the save editor I uploaded to oddworld.modifikace.com to change the numbers

Yeah, I just checked. I skipped from Tunnel 4 to Tunnel 5 in Necrum Mines and went from having 14 escapees and 1 casualty to having 11 escapees and zero casualties. How annoying! The save editor would work, but people want to go through the game killing and rescuing each Mudokon by themselves (with the help of a few gameplay‐altering cheats ).

I've had an idea...has anyone been on the Mudanchee Vaults ender and gotten a scrab to meet a slog or a slig cause I was just thinking about what might happen if it met that slig...probably nothing much but someone try it none the less.

Normally in the plain PS1 version, when I use invincibility, I possessed that Scrab in the ender and tried to jump it off down to the Slog. Game freezes. I presume it would if you merely tried to even just move it with that cheat thing.
I wish I had the PC version now. Can you pick it up cheaply anywhere (other than the obvious eBay maybe)?

Could some of you post more Scrab glitches aand c*ap soon? I want to see for the ultra lolz! What about flying Sligs too, or a whole swarm of Paramites in one spot (get all of them to the end bit in the wall at the Mudomo Ender. Lol)

Do the miniature Scrabs and stuff still kill you easily, or what happens? Also, can this be tested to see if Scrabs get killed from a height?

Doesn’t work, Chubfish. It can’t be done. You can’t take the Scrab down there without the level resetting or the game crashing.

:

The trouble with having fun on the PC version is that there is no invincibility cheat. For some characters, there isn’t any opportunity to possess them. Hmmm. If you get the ultra‐bad ending in the PC version of AE, do you still get invincibility?

:

There are no miniature Scrabs, silly! The one Jordan posted was of a Scrab in the background. He’d just shifted it so it seems to be in the foreground. If you were to drop in there, it would just fall endlessly because there is no floor defined.

:
Also, can this be tested to see if Scrabs get killed from a height?
No: anything you move with the tab key can be dropped absolutely anywhere, and fall extraordinary distances, but won’t die. This includes if there is no floor below Abe. He won’t scream and die, he’ll just fall off the bottom of the screen. Then you have to use the tab key to bring him all the way back up again. Quite tedious.

It was one of the first things I tried, trying to get the Scrab down there. It does something really weird, it teleports the Scrab back to the ledge and unpossesses it.

Damn, I thought it might work but I guess I was wrong...wait a second...how about trying to possess a slig then kill the slogs and afterwards use the -ddcheat thingy to bring him too the scrab! Will it work, though?

I really want the game now for PC...but I ordered PkMn Pearl instead of it so I might be getting Abe's Exoddus for PC for my B'day which isn't that far away. I have thought of another one in the Mudomo Vaults this time. At the start, you learn how to avoid paramites, pull rings, etc...I was thinking about this, so what if you put abe in those places with the pull rings and saw what you could do? It would be funny and a little glitchy too, trapping Abe in those areas. I would love some more screenies too, the ones so far are awesome!

No. It appears the two halves of the Mudanchee Vault Ender are actually two completely separate areas, and only Abe has the ability to get from the first half to the second half.

Ah...I would have loved to see that happen...ah well I still want to know what would happen if you put tons of scrabs in one place, too see if they all enter a 3 way battle (i've done one on Abe's Oddysee) or if you could get anymore on one screen for even more crazier Scrab Battles!

If there's 3 or more Scrabs one a screen, two fight and the other one just stands there and waits for them to finish. Done it myself.

Isn't there ANY kind of mod or patch available with invincibility for the PC one? And why wasn't it programmed in if it was in the PSX one?

I wonder what happens with -ddcheat and that scrab...
By, the way!I used -ddcheat with Abe and got him up to the MAX!!!Then i dropped him, he didn't die!!!!!!
I saved 999 Mudokons with the save editor and killed 0!

But i don't like that:if Abe dies with -ddcheat on, he will still walk, or just jump, and at the smallest fall he crushes!!!
By the way, don't use -ddcheat too much, it can make your P.C. crush, but, using it not too much will never make it crush!
P.S.:I'm from Romania, so i don't spell English too good, i hope you will understand me!

By the way, i would like a trainer with Shrykull ring too!
Too bad!

Too bad it dosen't work at Glukkons and Paramites too!

It works the BEST on Abe!

Yeah, it only makes your PC crash if you repeat things that you know make errors. The reason Abe doesn't die from a really high distance is because the game interprets that he's still on that part of the floor, and when you drop, it acts as if you only jumped. Also, pack it up with the smilies, my internet aches.

Yes. You can’t move it.

Although you can render Abe perfectly invisible if you tab before he emerges from a doorway. Enemies can still see him, but all you can see is the dust he disturbs as he moves.

It also happens if you die by falling from a height and then you TAB him. You have to jump into a well or go through a doorway to fix it.

I just played Necrum and I got to the part where you jump in the background wells, and I pressed TAB, and dropped Abe in another well, and he came out in Necrum Mines... Weird!

That is weird. Could you detail which wells in particular? Screen codes might help. I’m drafting a guide to the fun that can be had with -ddcheat.

Ultra lawl.

I got something similar to the invisible thing...through using the greeter glitch, sometimes all I end up with is the dust and a shadow on the floor. Really irritating.

Is there any other mods in the game? I was just wondering if you could possess Fleeches or do weird stuff.
What if you TAB while Abe is through the act of possessing? (when the orbs are flying towards the target)

You know where there's that four way intersection in Necrum where you have to light the story stone lanterns? You have to go on the top left and jump in the well. When Abe is in his tiny form, TAB him and drop him in the well that you just shot out of. It takes him to the area with the wheels in Mines.

I also noticed something weird, if you die, and then TAB, go near a Slig and chant when there is a security orb nearby, it will keep zapping Abe, but he can still possess things. It's a really neat trick.
