I got lucky. I was over eighteen, we met on my terms and we'd been talking online and on the phone for well over a year. So more like she was lucky really.

Seriously, I've done an awful lot of meeting online friends offline including meeting an underage friend on her own and although nothing bad came of that it's still something I cannot forgive myself for letting happen.

Also, rules are there to make you think before you break them, if you can't think of good enough reasons to break them then you most certainly shouldn't.

I'm not being hypocritical, I'm being wise and experienced in these matters.

It won't work. You're just too young, and beside this point is the fact that your parents would likely disallow you from hanging out with a bunch of Late teens and 20-something year-olds whom they do not know off of the internet for a couple of weeks without their supervision. For your good.

This isn't going to be like the very first OddTour where we went around and visited fans and gave them authentic OWI fan merchandise as a sort of unofficial PR thing for both them and the Forums. This is just a meet up of aging cronies. Old timers.

But yes. Just because everyone here is nice and, generally, have known each other for some time. Doesn't mean that everyone else in the internet is as wonderful as us, and meeting anyone off of the internet is dangerous.

i don't think you necessarily have to be 18, i think you'd get away with 17, but i suppose the more 'exciting' Oddtours would be with 18+ year olds.
