the book is enjoyable enough (from super eldergeek over here), though pretty badly written. "here is a place. place description. people go through place, into a new place. new place description." basically if it were a text adventure that'd be awesome.

It doesn't suck if you have dick-all to do at work and can get away with reading all day.
It's also, y'know, for twelve year olds, so I can read through it quick and make myself think I'm myself are smart.
Maybe the problem lies with the reader and not the book...
I was going to write 'Maybe the problem lies with the reader and not the read', which flows better, but I just knew someone would misunderstand the heteronym.

I'm reading the Death Note manga. It caught my eye why I was browsing at a book store, and having seen the anime, decided to give it a go... I'm engrossed.

really couldn't get into that book. someone lent it me and i didn't want to disappoint them, and was put on the spot, so i said i had read most of it but not yet finished it. i didn't get past chapter 4, i think.

That's very much so a subjective opinion...the works of Dumas are praised very highly in literary circles around the world.
Also I quite liked the movie.
