D'oh!

OOC: Maan, Yeah I read the other pages, but sometimes my imagination gets away from me. Hmph. I liked that post. Oh well, gotta follow the rules and storyline I guess. Oh, I just ment like "head of that one place" Glukkon. not Magic9Mushroom's Glukkon. Unless they're the same people, then, I'm sorry. Um, the graveyard and up to the second time Necrophgia was in the jungle is in a different part of Oddworld, just outside of the map's regions. And before you said that there was still some mud's n The main villagy-place, so I assumed that the large outpost and the village were at different places.

OOC: Ah, no problem. We make all sorts of mistakes like that all the time. Yet, I should find myself drawing what a normal outpost for Sligs should look like. That would make things a little easier for people to understand.

Now to subject myself into writing a very long post soon. Keep watching! I will edit later, I need to do something I have been needing to do for a longer time.

There are no others. There might be some BigBros, but that's about it. Gillik commands his forces personally. Sorry.

OOC: That's alot for Gillik alone to manage, surely? I'd have thought he'd have hired a few more subordinate Glukkons to assist in management of specific smaller areas (while he isn't there, and since Sligs aren't exactly expected to do that).

OOC: The system had worked as that Gillik controlled the operation and Sindera gave the orders. Gillik may order an attack on Shryke, Sindera would demostrate a plan to wipe him out. And while there was orders, the Sligs would be in different divisions following the orders. They would be able to follow the orders, but react and attack in any manner they wanted, as said by their leader of the section. So you see, the highest member on the control system commanded general subjects and leaders on the bottom had more specific plans.

In fact, management of the attack forces is really Sindera's job. She controls their movements and is concern on what they should be doing. Yet, I'm pretty sure Gillik doesn't even know they have less than 300 Sligs left in attack forces.

Ok... Whatever happened to The Albino Scrab? I mean, I stopped but what happened? All the work that people put into it just gone. Someone should really continue on with this, it was quite interesting! ()

The only problem here is that three of the major posters are gone. We need to either create a new version of this RPG, or get a heck of a lot new posters. If you looked back, not too many people stayed. So if people would join right about now, maybe I could storm some new ideas on how to carry out the rest of the RPG.

OOC: I posted this idea to Slaveless not too long ago, but what he says is a good point. But, however, we do seem to have alot more new RPers than we used to, which would be a help.
I think a new idea is best, vaguely outline what so far has happened, and start at a point such as: "Currently, the industrial forces are attempting to destroy the forest for their benefit, while the local wildlife and some natives are opposed to the threat"
We import or something the last few posts so they know in detail what is happening at either end of the forest area, and tell them to introduce their characters to the wildlife or something, or they may have been recently imported on the industrialist side.

However, the rules may need revising, we used quite a few (read: loads) of 'random characters' throughout this RPG, and if that would be no more, there wouldn't be many industrialists destroying the forest like there used to be.

How much rewinding would it be worth? There was still a fair bit going on before major industrialist activity took place.

One thought is the future after this, i.e. a wildlife and native army was finally amassed, and drove away indutrialists, Shryke has operations etc. etc. etc. blah blah blah, industrialists are back, Albino Scrab still looks for help or whatever, Shryke's few descendants (), etc. blahdy blah blah.

...

Lol@Pat.

I did really like this thread, though, and it is a shame it died. This as purely the lack of posters and RPers, but now we have far more, and alot more other RPs around, the Albino Scrab would be set to do better than it had before.

NOTE TO YOU PEOPLE: DON'T JOIN YET.

Exactly. If you thought Outlaw King's random characters were bad, you should have seen us. I literally created an entire forest full of Fleeches and Paramites, E'l Scrabino made a village of natives, and Magic9mushroom made more than a thousand Industerial characters. All because no one really stayed.

I love the idea of rewinding back into time. There was so many concepts that were not discovered at the time that were needed. Like the search for The Albino Scrab. Scrab Cake was really the only who found The Albino Scrab, Slurp just had a vision. There was also Mudokons who needed to protect themselves from Paramites. We completely ditched that idea in the beginning. In fact, I never intended in making a huge wildlife empire. BM had a good idea of introducing the similarities between the native world and the Industerial world. I always wanted to play out a native character (Bonty doesn't count), and I have some pretty good ideas. We even forgot the orginal purpose of the Industerials being here. (Sindera was the one who wanted to destroy the forest. She felt the operation was at risk of falling apart because too many animals and natives were the forest. Gillik just wanted to use the abandoned mine.

But that would mean so much time and effort would be eliminated from existance. I'm sure Zerox had his heart on Shryke. And I would have to revise the map, making more trees, and less bases. I don't know. I don't think going into the future is such a good idea. The Industerials were huge in numbers, according to Magic9mushroom. The place would be eliminated. I do not know.

I do have a RPG lisense. I could rewind a bit.

The only problem is, I can't bring back Slurp. Maybe Slurp 2. But both Big Red and the Steef are gone. Thus not letting Slurp not come back to the mine before night and not letting himself him enact with Slurp 2, making him a simple Fleech. And without Slurp, this whole RPG lacks a story. I could make new characters that could make a different story plot... Assuming people join this time.

If we're rewinding it, is it possible to rewind past the Steef if it's so important? I don't remember Big Red doing a whole lot with us at all.

The idea of Big Red was that it caused Slegs to scatter away, which happen to be the pack Slurp 2 belongs to. So, Slurp 2 has to exist somehow.

Um... ouch? Not that I'm saying I'm lazy or anything, but... That would mean most of our posts in the past will be the same. I would have to make all of my Slurp is interacting with himself posts all over again, and there is quite a few posts where we are alone. If so, we should just start over to the point where Slurp 1&2 meet with Shryke for the first time. That way, we could change a few things here and there.

My only problem here is that we would be avoiding the plot idea itself if we continue what we did a year ago. Players would be interested in interacting with us, rather than finding the Albino Scrab. That isn't exactly what the RPG was made for.

OOC: Well, as you said, if we went there, we could change/tweak a few things around, so that maybe the Slurps and Shryke find out more about the Albino Scrab, and also try to look for it, so if there is alot of interaction with us, it won't be a complete failure.

OOC: We could have that Shryke and both Slurps finds their way to the village, and being that Shryke has a the ability to speak in so many languages, he would be considered some sort of spirit. And they, being that Slurp has the ability to sense where certain beings are, can find the Albino Scrab in the close future.

I have no idea what this RPG is really about, but you're right when you say ya got more people to role play. If you need me to I can role play a massive amount of Industrial characters, it'll be fun. Kinda reminds me of Hand of Odd.

The idea of the role play is that a group of Industerial creatures are invading West Shrubton to enslave the Mudokons and re-use a Fleech invested abandoned mine with explosive chemicals. The natives need to find the Albino Scrab to find out what they should do. What we really need is some native characters, since we had none through out the role-play. Some Industerial characters would help in a way, though. We needed perspective in some way.

I haven't looked over this that closely but I just want to make a point. T-nex had a rule that you aren't allowed to copy another person's RPG. That might have got lost when I changed the RPG licencing and tidied up he rules thread, but it stil stands. I wouldn't object to you guys restating this RPG if you eventually choose to do so, but not if you decide to jump back in time to do it. Nothing wrecks an RPG quite like cancelling out events.

I think he means we can't destroy what has happened in this RPG. For example, we can't say Gillik's army didn't destroy the Mudokon village.

But then if we did that, how would we continue the RP properly without using countless random characters, as well as making the whole thing generally awkward, starting off from such a key point in the story without half the members who were doing it before, and so on...argh...
