Molluck is the most successful Big Cheese Glukkon there is. lthough he is the general of Magog Cartel and head of Big Cheeses, he isn't a Glockstar yet though. He spent all of his life trying to get there. All of those dreams disappeared after Abe came along.

Indeed; he was just a Meech Munchie shy of obtaining the rank of Glockstar when Ten Sacred Mudokon shadowlocked that conveniently precise and holy lightning down upon him.

But how could he sell Meech Munchies when they'd ran out and become allegedly extinct?
Is the size of a Meech represented anywhere? I guess about as tall as a Slig in pants, maybe a little taller, but how can we be sure?

What Max meant was that Molluck could have sold only a few more products and gotten his Glockstar suit on.

I read something somewhere that it was rumored there was a few left in oddworld, just very very scarce. But I don't know how he could have found a reserve of them and not finish them off completely.

Mudokons try their best to keep all species alive.

Meeches could roam on another continent, you never know, but it wouldn't be long before some Glukkon found them and made millions of moolah with Meech Munchies.

Meeches are certainly extinct, at least on Mudos. There’s the occasional rumour that some lost pack of them are discovered and moved to Cartel hunting preserves, but I wouldn’t believe them. What is interesting is the success of the South Meech diet. Methinks the Glukkons aren’t telling the truth to consumers…

Well, the extinction of the Meech would be a good explanation as to the rapid weight loss experienced by those on the diet.

Were Meech Munchies like cucumbers? On the poster on the opening video of AO you see a green cucumber looking thing behind the pic of the Meech, and were they fattening? Or did people just eat a lot of them?

They were sort of like Pepperoni sticks. You know, the ones you see in the store? Sort of like that, not like cucumbers. Why would Glukkons sell a vegetable?

Anyway, if Meeches went extinct, I could say that they were popular.

What I presume is that they are relatively rare, but still abundant to a degree in either far more remote areas of Mudos and/or other areas of the planet. The fact that Rupturefarms declarded them extinct was only within their range of Mudos. Telling consumers they existed overseas would cause them to try to buy from there, reducing profits to Rupturefarms.
And how do you know Meeches live in packs? I presumed that, but where is that defined for certain?

EDIT: I jsut noticed something...on the msot recent of the Daily Deceptions in the archives of the old Oddworld site, ( http://www.oddworld.com/firsttenyear...ption1203.html ) in the bottom right corner there's an advertisement, saying:
"Wanted: Rotund feathery fella seeks rotund feathery female for light-nest keeping and romantic, dimly lit meals. Must enjoy bein' outside and talkin' bout stuff. No eggs."
Presuming that's for Buddy, since it's next to a picture of him, does this mean you can get both male AND female 'worker class' Mudokons, as well as king and queen levels?

It’s a personal for a Clakker. It’s playing off the fanpinion that Clakkers are little more than fat chickens, and astonishment that there are females. The picture that has Buddy in it relates to the story about Abe pining for Sam.

Another carnivorous Oddworld creature? Really, I thought Meeches would be Herbivores, but I guess it shows that creatures on Oddworld are very violent and eat anything. Meeches would look freaky in-game, I wonder what they'd do to Abe?

I always figured Meeches would try to chase Abe, very much like Fleeches, except deadlier. They could kill Abe in one bite. They probably would appear in scenes where Abe has found Elum. Basically chasing Abe, that's how I imagined it. However, much like the real world, Meeches probably would back down when having to deal with a Scrab or a Paramite. This would be more interesting when the idea of Meeches could exist was in AE.

@Max: Oh, I was thinking Mudokons, due to eggs, feathers (well, they do, in a sense...), rotund (i.e. Buddy is fat) etc.
@Slaveless: I thought Meeches lived in small packs, and focused mainly on speed to chase down fast prey such as Elums (is there really any other prey out there?), savaging at their haunches with razor sharp teeth to bring them down to the ground. I imagine they would generally avoid Scrabs, but I think between Paramites and Meeches, it's relatively even, so who backs down and runs would msotly depend on numbers, weakness of members etc. rather than a particular species being 'dominant' in a sense.
Meeches may be preyed on sometimes by Scrabs due to their fierce territorialness, among other things, so I presume that's why they have armour down their backs and those spines, to help keep pursuers at bay.
Elum have evolved horns to protect them when backed into a corner, and Meeches would have trouble in this situation. They're better suited to chasing fleeing prey down and mauling it to make it fall over so it can be svaaged and eaten.
Have multiple mouthparts with sharp teeth could help maximize damage rather than only one jaw for an immediate kill like Scrabs do, as well as the Scrab's spear-tipped tongue to 'skewer' prey such as Abe in conjunction with their beak.
The small forelegs could be used for egg/nest manipulation and more delicate tasks, or even latching to prey possibly if they hunted like raptors did, but this seems more unlikely given their general build.
Paramites, where they end up in the food chain is a tough question. Their build seems completely unadapted at tackling Elum, and since no other possible prey specie of relative size has been made (apart from Mudokons, but they generally aren't on the Paramites menu), my best guess could be working together to find smaller prey and other foood items such as Slurgs and Fleeches they could easily scoop up off the floor. More desperate Paramites would attack prey such as the odd Mudokon in packs, but generally fangs would probably only be used in such a manner in self defence when back into corners to shred the faces of possible attackers. I jsut can't see Paramites doing well against an Elum. If they were taller and could get at higher up along the legs, maybe, but merely trying to savage it's ankles, constantly running back and forth, kciking it in the face and likely breaking those finger-like fangs, I just can't see it happening.
They probably prey on other prey species about Mudokon size and weight, or certainly smaller than Elums, but since they aren't existant yet, that's the best guess I can make.
...
Talk about rabbitting on for ages...

I always thought that their legs could be used to push them off the ground and make sort of like a launching movement. And their hard back could be used to tackle their prey down to the ground. While the prey is stunned, the rest of the Meech pack could rip apart their prey.

@Zerox: Now about that Paramite vs. Meech thing, I figured that could fit better in a MO environment. After a certain distance, the two packs would stop and try to scare each other off. If the numbers of the two are relative, then they go into attack. If one has more Meeches or Paramites in numbers, the smaller pack will run off.

:
I jsut can't see Paramites doing well against an Elum.
I can. The Paramites would try to actually chase Elum into a corner if they are great in numbers. And since Paramites actually hop while they sprint, they could get a big bite into the Elums' necks and chests in midair. Elum seem to be doomed in such situtions.

:
They probably prey on other prey species about Mudokon size and weight, or certainly smaller than Elums, but since they aren't existant yet, that's the best guess I can make.

I thought Meeps...but do they really appear in the wild in such abundance? I wouldn't think so.
Paramites do hop alot...but now I think again, don't they live in caves rather than out on plains? Or do they live pretty much anywhere?
But if they WERE in an Elum hunting situation, I think the Elum would outrun them, so they have to get a headstart on chasing it, or an ambush perhaps, like when they drop down on webs from the ceiling...onto the back of prey, then savage the neck like the would feed from the ground, if you know what I mean. Not exactly like that, more rapid and brutal, but a similar fashion, maybe. So Elum try to stay in more open areas. But the scent of honey could lure them well nigh anywhere...

Paramites seem to live in dark places. (So Possibly caves or a very dark forest.)

I don't know about paramites. In MO you can see them in a vast open kind of plane. (yes there are walls, but... you get my point.)

Erm, Paramites can climb cliff faces. Watch the ‘Paramite Herd’ video: http://oddworldlibrary.net/archives/cinema/MO06.htm You can even climb up the cliff faces when you possess a Paramite in MO, but obviously you can’t quite reach the top.
