:
No. No no and no.
If a restaurant turned me away because of my clothing then they would be in SERIOUS legal trouble. It's against the law to turn people away because of their ethnicity, race, gender, background, financial status, or lifestyle choice.

If a venue states ROAR... right of actual refusal... on their flyers etc etc theres not much you can really do unless its due to race...
Large groups of drunken males, those considered under age without ID, people not following dress codes and even people who are considered fat (been there!!!) can all be turned away!

Also, I do not deny that I look like a skater. But I am not "A skater". I don't even skateboard. But having said that I do snowboard. I don't need a culture telling me how I should dress and what I should do. I'll dress like a skater and read a book on physics thanks, **** the skatepark.

Sorry we have crossed wires here... when I say you're a "skater" thats what I actually mean... you wear the "uniform" of that cultural group...
14-25 males/females into alternative music (including D&B) free speech and power to the people! Wearing baggy jeans chains and fubu!
:
And yes I do look younger than I am - which DOES make it hard for me to get into venues, but I have ID and prove my age.

S**t man! I should lay off of the booze! If you're 22 I could be you're grandma... Jesus! Now I know why I get turned away from clubs!!!!!
Sorry mate... but... God...looking that youthful now must be a drag... but 20 years time... you'll be f**king gorgeous you'll be 42 but look about 30 or summit!!!!

And beleive it or not, I am a major stock investor. I currently have 1.8 million UK pounds invested in various interests, and it's growing by the day - but I still work, and I hold down my job very nicely thankyou.
I don't wear Vans but really, I don't care. I don't care if someone else is wearing the same clothes I do. Just as long as the ones I'm wearing suit me. So long as you buy manufactured clothing, there will be someone else somewhere in the world who is wearing the very same thing. Unless you make all your clothes yourself, you'll never be completely unique.
You have to at least understand that.

Do you have a face full of metal? Is your hair green?... NO! You're not an extreme case and I'm sure you have intelligence enough (from what I've read of your posts I'm impressed anyway!... but wouldn't take much to out intelligence me!
) to realise that when going for interviews the guy in the suit is more likely to employ another guy in a suit!
Its the whole... conformity issue again... like I stated above... there comes a time when you realise... my long hair/ devil horn gelled hair/lip piercings/ flesh tunnels (those things always make me queezy!) are no longer needed where I'm at, where I'm going, or where I'd like to be... infact its holding me back.
You, and I reckon everyone else who posts here, realises this just as I did... and change appearance accordingly until eventually you don't change back.. unless its a reunion of old mates or reliving the good old bad old days!
It was meant as one of those "mature" warning pieces I do actually... in a kinda... strange backward.. i know what I'm saying... no one else does way
