This is from the ign.com article i just was looking at, the wording strikes me as odd ( no pun). Why would they need to tell us that the invaders are from Oddworld ? Where the hell else would they be from?

Could it be that Fangus is not from Oddworld exactly ? Might explain why he`s
clutching those most un-Oddlike heaters, why his flock looks like it grazes in hills of Hell,and why he is built like a Major League Baseball player on steroids.

Are the Cartels moving on some new territory? Kind of like the the idea of Fangus bitch-slapping a mess of Big Bro Sligs

You bring up some good points, Voodoo. Perhaps that's why Oddworld is not in the title. I myself, doubt they would have this take place somewhere other than Oddworld, considering there is so much land yet to be seen. That being said, you may be on to something.

I think you're reading too much into it. Maybe their point was that they are Oddworld creatures, so ou shouldn't expect them to be anything you've seen before.

No, not really. Oddworld is fantasy, not science fiction. Oddworld has enough of its own problems without having to deal with extraodderal invaders.

Yeah, plus we've only been on one continent in 5 games, and we haven't even seen the whole thing. It would seem like a waste to bring in another planet when so little of Oddworld is known to us.

Totally agree.

Anyway wasn't Oddworld surpose to be 7 times the size of Earth??

If that was so, seeing the other parts of Oddworld would be like being on a different planet, no??

So Fangus could have been from the other side of Oddworld and he grew up differently (its different on the other side), therefore he turned out differently...

hmmm... i dunno. I think that it should be set on the origonal continent, but in different places. Like environmental places. Snowy Alps, Desert Fields, hell, even Grasslands. You know, some cool different stuff like that. I'd also like to see Sligs come back. they were always so weird. I'd like for Abe or Munch to make another appearance as well. Still, can't wait for this.

Yes, it was supposed to be called that. However, Oddworld seems to be moving towards their feature films, but we have no further updates on the status of their plans.
