Al, I'd say that pic was more likely to be Earth after it's been glassed.

Yay! On to the picture analysis!

- What is the purple thingie in the foreground? A Ghost? A Banshee?

- The building in the middle-right of the pic looks like one of the Blue Plasma Emitters from the level Halo. Looks a bit Forerunner-ish.

- It's DEFINATELY not Earth. We ain't got mountains as sharp and pointy as these.

- What is that dark area behind the Forerunner-ish building? Is it a could? IS it a column of smoke? I see a big tree in it...

Earth would have big point mountains like that if enough ground had been blown up. Very nice analasys though.

In the end of First Strike, Halsey takes Kelly to do some secret mission. Do you think this mission will be revealed in the game? i mean, chances are the game and the book are different, but it would be cool if bungie took ideas from the authors.

Could be Earth, well I mean we're meant to be losing this war, and there are projectiles incoming, I doubt humans would be able to attack the covie homeworld that powerfully. it would be MC and marines, not a full scale assault, as we would never win.

And after a few projectiles, I'm sure our mountains could look like that

For clarification that wasnt off Bungie.com I took a screenshot of a documentary I downloaded and there was a bunch of stuff in the art department, and they showed this one and were talking about different twists in the story or something, cant really remember completely it was a while ago.
