I doubt the resolution of AO and AE on Steam will be changed. After all, they are both already on Steam, and the resolution hasn't changed. Call it a hunch.
Also, they're being ported to Steam more through a process of reverse engineering than going to the original artistic and digital source material for the games.

Well can't we make them give a ratz arse somehow? It may not sound like much but maybe if we all pull together and get enough people to put in requests for it to be on Xbox live they'll start giving a damn. Didn't OWI agree with Microsoft to release their games on Xbox? Or has that just been forgotten?

A campaign to try and convince them to get on board isn't a bad idea, but I think it would take coordination and backing the likes of which OWF just doesn't have right now. And in the past, members have emailed Microsoft requesting that Stranger's Wrath be made backwards compatible for the Xbox 360 and received replies from folks who were enthusiastic about the idea, but sadly it's not the customer service folks' call.
That deal was forgotten when Microsoft backed out of publishing SW, yes. Remember EA were hoping for a PS2 port for a while, and it wasn't Microsoft that stood in the way.
