Personally, I hate to draw things like buildings and hand-made objects. I really like to draw bodies and animals and things that look alive. You seem to have the same taste, Rachel. Your coloring skills have tremendously improved over the last couple of years. What you need to do now is to study anatomy more, so that your fantastical beings can look more and more realistic. Keep practicing, 'cause perfection will come.
First one started out as Tieka...one of my Saurian characters, but as I worked the character started to look to 'old' to be her (especially the face). So...I changed the character to Alundra...Tieka's grandmother, the first pic ever of this character.
The last two sketches are experiments. You see I was getting sick of the same poses and views...so I thought I try some different ones out. The first one is based of one of my Saurian Isle stories. Short quote on the scene:
The fight continued on for a bit more. Then the Shadowhunter said, "I grow bored of this." and with one swift motion, cut Sabono's sword in two.
Sabono stared at his broken sword. Impossible Then the wind was knocked out of him as he was kicked against a tree and he sat on the ground, trying to regain his breath.
"This ends now!" the Shadowhuner growled as it raised it's sword for the death blow. It was that moment their eyes meet....
*looks at the lack of replies after her last post and just shrugs* One new pic (I do have more...but I can't be bothered to scan/transfer/upload them right now). Dis is my half-form...which is a mix of dragon and elven (though my eyes in this form is the same color as mine in RL...blue).
As a little suggestion or two, I think the thighs on the last pic are rather big in comparison to the torso, and the ears too close to the eyes - after all, the external bit isn't the entire structure, the ear goes in a long way into the head, as does the eye. The left arm is a bit stiff as well, perhaps... hmm, maybe if you tried a pose rather than just a static image?
*thinks about the fencing lessons she's seen up Uni* Drop the shoulder of the arm holding the weapon, lean the torso slightly forwards, and put the other arm out for balance. I think that's how it works... Pf. *shrugs* I hate forshortening too.
Very cool pictures of your own characters.
Day by day you draw better.
Respect!
Keep drawing.

Don´t you like my style??
Why don´t you come and play, I guarantee you a great big smile.
I come from the imagination, and I´m here stricly by your invocation..so what´d you say?
Why don´t we dance a while?
Cause' I know what you feel boy.
I know just what you feel boy.
You call me and I come a-runnin.
I turn the music on I bring the fun in.
I can bring whole city`s to ruin, and still have time to get a soft shoe in.
I see what ya mean Teal. The reason I am in such a 'static' pose there is because that it is a habit for me to draw new 'characters' like that. *shrug* Anyway...new stuff. Yes its been awhile...mainly due to a lull in ideas/moditifation and just plain laziness...
First up...my spirit form went through a slight change...I got ears now.
Last up is a new Saurian character I whipped up for an RPG on another board. Hmm...I guess this pic would be PG-13...as this guy doesn't have any clothes...but you can't see 'anything' :P .
Again...I went too dark on the feathers...ugh...
I had two other pics...but my scanner decided to be a b*tch and not scan anymore after the first three...*grumble*
Cool, I like your new drawing pictures.
Is it your first human you´ve ever drawn?
Don´t you want to draw a picture for lector?
Keep up the good work Drag !

your drawing style changes with every picture. People who don't notice it are just blind. And the human you drew looks like a Drakkic. Like I said, I thought that Spider is suddenly a human.
Can you draw Sl'askia, staying on a mountain edge, the hair is flying and the moon shines next to her?
? Just how does the human look like a drakkic Lec? Doesn't look anything like a drakkic to me....
Anyway...new pic...and I am really happy with this one. This is one of the DragonLords...Airlion. However...he is a bit sad in this pic...as I based it on a scene in one of my stories.
BTW...his is leaning on a wall...hence why his right arm is up like that (I couldn't be bothered to draw that in). The only thing I am not too happy with is the wings...but then...this is an odd position I put him in...a first for me.
I love it--I absolutely LOVE it! He is the best character you've ever made (in my opinion). I love how lifelike your creatures are; it really gives a great effect. You're an awesome artist!
Sometimes I do a pic where I completely surprise myself...and this is one of them. I never tried to do a realistic lookign eye ball before...let alone from scratch in Photoshop. Here is the result.
*meeps* Guess I stunned everyone speechless that time...Merk.
Anyway...two new piccys. First one is of my spirit form (again)...and its gone through a slight change...well...depending on your defo of 'slight'...*smirk*
Is it a tiger? Is it a horse? No! It's a dragon!
Hehehe, very nice.
(Don't mind, me, I'm just trying to boost my post count without spamming. . .)

Your drawing is really good, but your creatures are ugly. But you are a good drawer, okay, but the things you draw are deadly unnatractive. But not Sl'askia. The human is ugly too, but a good drawing.
