All I did was grab one of each vendo. Jump up there and try to zap them off the edge into the water. Once I got hit a few times I jumped down got some health and did it again. Remember...QUICKSAVE!!!
While it is clear that's how the programmers intended you to clear this part of the level, the best method is to have Abe create a two-Spooce possession orb and take control of an Intern. Then walk the Intern all around the platforms shooting behind him (meaning he's walking backwards). That way you can keep away from all the Vykkers Sawbones, and cut off about half an hour of gameplay.
