It seems to be a mishmash of original game sprites and HD sprites. Either it's done in photoshop or someone made a mod.

According to TinEye and Google reverse image searches, it doesn't exist anywhere else on the internet. It's close to but distinct from a screenshot render used in the promotion of AE (seen on this PC Gamer article) – the main differences are the sprites are in a different location, some of the foreground elements look higher-resolution, Abe's sprite looks higher resolution, and the Scrab appears to be its normal in-game resolution.

I'd also point out there's an overlay in the top-right of the image that looks like a command or debug menu, most likely for some sort of mod or injector like ENBSeries.

This is speculative but to me, the high-res foreground assets look slightly warped, in the way that I'd expect an image that has been upscaled by an AI would look.

I'd say it's most likely a mock-up someone has made themselves using AI upscaled assets, possibly running in a modded emulator or in a fan-made engine such as Paul's. Given it's seemingly not anywhere else on the internet it's unlikely to be official.

I think a possible scenario could be that Nep is a troll who's well aware of where the screenshot is from and wants to hype the project in a lame way.
