Oddworld has confusing controls.

Exactly. I have never had any issues with the controls on either the PS1 or PC.

For me, only on the PC were the controls kinda confusing. But that was only due to not being able to roll while running at the same time or getting some of the command keys confused. On the PS1/PS3/Vita/PS4, the controls are fine and dandy.

i found the pc controls totally fine except for that annoying stutter with the gamespeak, i ended up liking the pc controls better cus i found out about emulators and just generally got good at playing everything with a keyboard for a while.. i remember liking the ps1 controls more in the beginning, just makes gamespeak way more fluid, i could probably get used to them again

The only problems I had with the PC controls was the gamespeak 'delay' that came with the port of Abe's Oddysee, and extremely low mouse sensitivity making the camera hard to move in Munch's Oddysee
