SoulStorm Slig?

The forum's been quiet lately and somethings been on my mind after seeing the kickstarter for Abe's Origins. So I thought I'd see what you guys think of this.

Here is an Armored Slig as seen in Munch's Oddysee.



And this is from the Abe's Origin kickstarter.



It's quite a bit different. I believe it's been stated that the book will include new art not just the artwork from past games. What I'm wondering is if this is just an old concept that wasn't used or if this is a redesign for SoulStorm.

I really don't. That whole class system was one of the many stupid design decisions that made MO such a horrible game.
