It depends how Paramites use their webs - I had always assumed Paramites operated similarly to Trapdoor-Spiders - in that they don't trap their prey with silk, but instead use the vibrations in the silk to detect when potential prey is nearby and then attack with stealth... in which case, if a Scrab wandered into their territory the Paramites would just lurk in their web and wait for it to leave. They're pure combat machines and Paramites just can't compete with that!
However, New & Tasty trashed that theory of mine with it's intro to the Paramonian temple:
- however, the consistency of these webs is significantly thinner and texturally different to that of the Paramite Webs seen in the rest of the series; much more similar to the Bolamite's webbing, leaving me to believe these Sligs weren't victims of Paramites, but some other arachnid inhabiting the same landscape.
If the Paramites webs are really strong enough to hold down a Slig and all their mechanical enhancements, then I think given a stealth advantage, a pack of Paramites would win.
