Which Area of The Oddworld Timeline Do You Want To See?

Okay, so I already tried to make this poll but failed miserably, luckily my internet died for 5 days that night so I could sit in shame and think about what I'd done.

Basically I'm just curious what people think of the gaps in the timeline we know of, I've spoken to Lorne a couple times over Facebook and The Schism era is really interesting to me, but what do you guys think?

I'll give a quick summary of the different eras just for clarity

Golden Kon Age - Glukkons and Mudokons are at peace (pre-formation of Mudokon Moon)
The Schism - Mudokons declare themselves The Chosen Race, relations with Glukkon society break down (post-formation of Mudokon Moon)
Age Of Alchemy - Glukkons retreat inside in disgust of the Mudokon Moon, abandonment of Glukkon spirituality in favour of Alchemy, Science, and supposed Occultism (post-Schism)
Decline of Mudokons - Glukkon society flourishes with Mudokons working with them, eventually leading to their opression and enslavement (Pre-Abe's Oddysee)
Abe's Oddysee - This one's obvious but I'm going to include it from just before Abe was hatched to after the destruction of Rupturefarms (Time spanning Abe's birth to his celebration in the Monsaic Lines)
Abe's Exoddus - Again, obvious. But I've seen discussion on this in some Soulstorm threads (Post-AO to end of AE)
Munch's Oddysee - Like the last, this includes time between games (Post-AE to end of MO)
Post-Munch - We all want something after Munch I'm sure, but this could also include much further in the timeline (Post-MO+)

Oh Varrok, you're so whimsical. Gabbits come from Gabbiar, Munch's mother would have given birth to an entire spawn of Gabbits.

They're the pugs of Oddworld. Small, so ugly they're cute, and bad at running.

I've always been fascinated by Munch's journey - specifically, the parts we didn't get to see. The Ma'Spa paintings by Gautam Babbar and Raymond Swanland in the art book captured my interest immediately. Before I purchased the book, I knew about Ma'Spa and that it was where Munch intended to take the gabbiar, but I had never seen those images before. Seeing it fully realized in a game would be amazing.

I feel like due to the obvious, Very few species introduced in Munch's Oddysee had much of the character that would have been intended for them, except for maybe the Vykkers. But it's sad that one of those species is the main protagonist.

If it wasn't for Honeybee I wouldn't remember what the fuck a Meep was.

With regards to the Schism era, were the Mudokons acting like assholes when they declared themselves the superior race? I know it was because the paw appeared on the moon, but I think that could be a really interesting story to see the Mudokons acting somewhat as oppressors. Like, "look, we're in charge now and there's nothing you can do." It could give some great backstory into the Glukkons and perhaps even make you empathise with them to a certain extent. It sort of shows that there are parallels between the two species on some levels, and I think it'd be a cool change to have the Glukkon's not be the antagonists for once.

The majority of Oddworld stories and ideas I come up with intend to show how atleast the past mudokons seemed to be a geniunley arrogant race. The whole, "Everyone's equal and harmonious, but we're more equal and harmonious!" A nice fatal communism counterplay to the capitalism of the Glukkons.

One of the reasons I'd made the first era, Golden Kon Age is because a detail that stares people in the face but is so often overlooked is the etymology of the two races. Glukkon, and Mudokon. Direct parallels between the two. I imagine "Kon" being used the same way we'd use "Man" in Human. Mudokons have definitely been antagonists at some point, and I guess all this is just bad quarma.

I have entire theories and rants about The Schism and Age of Alchemy that would need their completely own thread.

I'd love to see all of these properly implemented at some point, but I mainly want to see what comes next for Munch.

It's definitely interesting how the tables turned after the schism. However, I want to know more about the period after the alchemy age. When I first played AO, I was intrigued about the origins of the Mudokon race, but more so their enslavement. How did it happen? were their more reasons for the enslavement other than pure hate for the Mudokon race? Were there rebellions? What efforts were made by the Mudokons to preserve their culture?

I think what I really want to see, and I don't think I'm alone here, is the continuation of Munch's Oddysee, but with all the audaciousness of ideas present that Microsoft stripped from MO and a return to the tone of the first 2 games.

Scrap the cartoon humour and go proper dark with it, allowing for just the morbid wit of the first 2 to creep their way in; let's face it, the production art for Munch's Oddysee portrayed a mood and story-tone that was FAR DARKER and much deeper than the first 2 combined; it's about time we saw it in action really. I've been waiting since 1998.

I voted for Munch's Oddysee ironically. You can't go "super dark" with a character like Munch.

The opening of Munch's Oddysee showed it's possible to do Dark with that character. It's very possible to take him seriously if you remove the BOINK BOINK BOINK's and focus solely on the wide-eyed naievity he displays in several of the FMV's.

Age of alchemy, I'd like to see the events that lead from glukkons pursuing dark magic to science to becoming the greedy, capitalistic businessmen, as well as the process towards mudokon enslavement along the way. I'd like see how that all went down.

Edit: Hm, I think i really just want to evil glukk wizards
