what was your trip like? did you see or experience anything groovy?

i'm too much of a pussy to try shrooms, LSD or anything hallucinogenic. plus i don't think it would be very good for my mental health, personally. which is a shame because although i find the thought of experiencing things that aren't there pretty scary, i also think it's fascinating and would be tempted to try it out if the opportunity arose. but i won't. i'm a pussy.

i won't say who, but a relative of mine tripped on acid a few times. he enjoyed it. one time he and a bunch of his mates took some tabs and wandered about the countryside. they were walking through an empty field and he watched as all of his mates, one after the other, stepped over an invisible fence. there was nothing there. he couldn't stop laughing. then they went into a strawberry field and started eating strawberries. at that point he looked up and noticed the sky had turned into strawberry skin.

on the other hand someone else i know who tripped on acid spent their time running around the countryside convinced they were being chased by wolves.

My first trip i was mostly drunk and don't remember but my second...oh boy. It was an experience to say the least a very close friend and I decided we would take our shrooms and go into the woods. Within an hour we were reduced to heaps of giggles and tears both lying down in a knoll and looking up at the sky. Then out of no where I began to see shapes in the sky and nearly simultaneously lost the ability to discern reality. I had heard the term "hallucination" before and thought it was seeing purple elephants and whatnot. But no from that point on I realized that a "hallucination" is simply lacking the ability to quantify reality. This lead to a number of profound thoughts and ideas about how the world works and how we as humans interact. At the time it was beneficial for my mental state as thoughts like these drew me out of my depression. 5 hours later I walked out of that forest refreshed, anew, almost like a baby coming into the world again.

But to answer your question yes, I had many "groovy" visuals. In particular were patterns of interlocking and flowing color around my vision constantly. Also wood grain, roots, and sometimes grass and the ground would appear to flow as a fluid. Although i would make a strong note that visuals are a small part of the trip. It is mainly consistent of altered thought patterns. Which can be beneficial or cause you to have a bad trip depending on whether you can maintain your thoughts throughout. I also learned recently that mushrooms can bring forth latent or dormant mental disorders which i found intriguing.

This is not always the case, so I'm not saying anything for sure, but people tend to exaggerate their LSD stories. I'd say a good half of the stories that I've been told about drug experiences are utter bullshit. It is possible, however, that they were being honest. Just putting that out there.

I have a friend who said that he smoked so much weed once that he wasn't able to walk and had to crawl over to his bed and climb into it. I don't know if this is a common experience, or if he just smoked way too much weed, or if he's just exaggerating.

maybe it just doesn't suit him, or maybe he's exaggerating. personally i've never known that to be a common experience. i've heard people say "man, i can't get up" when they're stoned and sitting down, but that's just because they're relaxed. it doesn't literally stop you walking properly. alcohol stops you walking properly.

also, a tip to weed smokers: if you're absolutely stoned and decide to roll another joint, don't bother. save your weed and just enjoy the high. the reason is because once you're absolutely stoned you won't get any more stoned than you already are, so smoking more while at that stage is kind of a waste. it might make the effects last longer, but you won't actually get any higher. it's like you hit a limit. this is something i learned from a few long-time tokers, so i don't know if it's actually true, but i can say from experience that when i've hit the weed big time i've never been more stoned than the last time i was absolutely stoned.

i can't explain it very well. let me put it another way: if you could measure how stoned you were from 1 to 10, 1 being slightly high and 10 being absolutely wrecked, you will only ever reach a maximum of 10. there is no 11 or more. you cannot get any higher once you're at that stage, if you smoke more you will just prolong the effects but not actually increase the high.

at least that's just what i've heard.

Judging by the sound of it, I think he might have been exaggerating a bit, but I wasn't completely sure since I've never smoked weed before. hah yeah i've been in that position, it's fun. weed is a very communal thing. if i have any i'll always share it out, it's better than smoking on your own.

it's just what i've heard. i'm tempted to believe it because, like i said, after years of smoking i've never reached a point where i'm 'more stoned than i've ever been'. i'm wrecked, yeah, but not any more than the last time i was wrecked. i've sat with a group and smoked spliff after spliff and just maintained that super-high, not actually got any higher. but maybe that's just me.

i've just had a look at a few sites where the same question has been asked (is there a limit?) and people tend to have conflicting views so maybe it's bullshit or just down to individuality.

that's what i reckon, but the tolerance of people varies so it's entirely possible that he reacts that way to too much weed. i don't know. people are different.
