3D Art: Rupture Farms barrel

It's been a while since I've posted in here. In between university projects I've been slowly building up my portfolio so there's a bit more to show when I start applying for jobs. I thought I'd do a quick personal project based on Oddworld so I remade the Rupture Farms barrel. Didn't get to spend as much time as I'd like on it, but there you go. I plan to create some more Oddworld related assets in the future when I get time.

Hey that's pretty fucking cool. You got it down pretty well, I think. Unfortunately I don't know the first thing about 3D modeling and whatnot so I can't offer any critique, but I know that I think it looks awesome.

Funny enough, I just made an Art Station account this morning.

I would consider stuff like Greeters, but I wouldn't be able to animate them. I think they'd need to be able to animate for them to be a finished piece. Maybe something to look into in future.

Good rendition! Here's a little realism tip: the wood below the lowest metal rim looks as if it's separate from the planks that form the barrel. There's no practical way you can make a barrel like that. The planks' butts have to be visible below the metal rim and the wooden bottom is fitted inside the barrel's body like that:

I did use Ddo painter so a fair bit of effort was put into the texturing. I try to avoid being labelled as a cheater
