This gets me every damn time I watch it. After being so invested in the story and the characters during Gears 1 and 2, seeing this happen seemingly out of nowhere really had me choked up. Had to take a couple of minutes after the scene was over before I could continue. A while ago I played the entire series with my GF and she genuinly cried for 5 minutes and wanted to stop playing. It's just that powerful.

Also Ellie's fight scene with David in The Last of Us left quite an impression on me.

Mass Effect had its own series of good moments, mostly because of the amazing soundtrack.

As far as movies go, The Lion King will always have that one scene that makes everyone cry.

Oh and more recently the 'soundtrack' of Fallout 4 has me in a constant state of 'FUCK YEAH!! LET'S DO THIS!! COME ONNNNNN!!!!!!!' After which I shed a manly tear because the wait is almost over.

I don't think so. Coincidences abound though, because Gishy did register a new account today.

When I was about 10 the ending of AE made me cry. The ending of P2 does it for a similar reason. Honestly whenever I complete any game I've thoroughly enjoyed I can get a lump in my throat. In a "I'm really sad it's over" kind of way. Even Antichamber did it to me.

As for songs, this made me tear up a little when I first heard it. Not for lyrical content, but just the tone it creates.

It's been a long time since I've actually shed tears while following a story, but I do still get pretty close to doing so a lot of times. The most recent times I could think of were while watching Mad Max: Fury Road and there were a few episodes of Steven Universe that almost got to me, although they would have been heartwarming tears.

Also, if I'm in the right mood, the scene in Berserk after the Eclipse happens and Guts sees Casca's condition and runs off gets me pretty damn close.

Almost joy tears at the end of FFIX when Zidane comes back to Alexandria after taking out Kuja and Garnet runs out to him. It's the characters and the musical score I tell ya.
