About the scar cutscenes...

While I was reviewing some footage just now I noticed that in the Scrab scar cutscene, Abe already has the Paramite scar. Which is odd since, as far as I know, you can do Scrabania first and Paramonia second which would put the cutscenes out of order.

At first I thought they might have created 4 scar cutscenes to cover any order. But then I went to watch the original clips and yes, Abe has the Paramite scar in the original Scrab cutscene as well. In all those years I have only ever played the game in the right order and never once noticed this.

So was this actually fixed in New 'n' Tasty or can the cutscenes still be out of order if you play Scrabania first? Interestingly enough there's absolutely no clear view of Abe's right hand in the cutscene where he enters the Scrab temple. Not sure if that was on purpose though :P

That's a very good question. I do know that once you receive one of the scars, it actually appears on your player model. But I don't own NnT, so I can't try out both orders myself

Maybe some kind soul with a PS4 and a copy of New n Tasty can find out

Yes, they did make 4 scar scenes. So it doesn't matter which order you play the temples, it will play the corresponding scene with correct hand scar continuity. :P

I was surprised (and kind of confused at first) to see that there were two of each scene in the movie player menu. It's a nice touch!

That is a pretty awesome level of detail. I keep being amazed at the little details they put in, even down to the cutscenes. Amazing stuff, JAW. Keep it up.

Yep, there's four, for this very reason. They have different text depending on the order you take from Monsaic.

See, attention to detail.

I was very pleased that your character model changes appropriately for which scar(s) you have. Its a nice touch that I had been wondering about before the game was released.

Also, that charged up Shrykull power effect... Gorgeous

Its funny now that you mention the temple scene. I made a fuss about doing alternate hand scar scenes with the tats already acquired, but it didn't even occur to me to do alternate versions of the temple entrances. Ha! I bet it's totally noticable on para temple entrance. Oh well!

In Abe a GoGo you were forced to do Paramonia first.

Do you know how this was achieved? Did the Scrabania well simply not work on the first visit to Monsaic Lines, or was it something more drastic? I find stuff like that really interesting.

There was a wall dividing the two wells. After going though the bird portal in paramonia you would come out on the other side of the wall. There was no lever to pull to activate the wells.

Im just kidding. The scrabania well just did not work on your first visit to the monsaic lines.

Do they have different titles? Does anyone have a screenshot of the movie player menu with that?

They're called 'Paramite scar A/B' and 'Scrab scar A/B' if I remember correctly.
