It's not the white background. I don't how what I said even gave any of you the idea my problem was in the white background. It's the way the "ODDWORLD: ABE'S ODDYSEE" bit was just slapped on top in Papyrus with no alterations made to it what so ever. That makes me believe whoever was in charge of the box art put the absolute minimal effort into making the box art, or had no idea what to put in the mass of negative space.
Also, I partly agree with you on the AE cover, OANST. The colours are way too saturated, and there's no clear focal point. It comes across as a trainwreck to me, and even more lazily put together than the AO cover since it's literally just the predone art with a title slapped onto it like a sticker.
