how do you make things?

How do you turn images into avatars and banners? And what size do they need to be?

Well its very easy, you just but them into a banner or avatar style! It is very easy, although i dont know how to put it in a sentence...

But i can tell you that banners can only be 400x125 pixels and avatars can only be 60x60 pixels.

Or you could get myself or Abe Babe to make you a banner or avatar (i dont know if Abe Babe makes avatars though...) if you request it in the appropriate banner request topics, mine and Abe Babes.

And then again you can make it yourself and save me us the time making them! J/K.

It's the picture under your name. In the general sense, it's the on-line graphic representation of you.

Avatars:

1. Cut/Shrink chosen picture down to 60x60.

2. Save it as a .jpg file.

3. Click on the "user cp" button in the top right-hand corner of the forums.

4. Click on "Edit Options".

5. Scroll down until you see a picture of your current Avatar. Click on "Change Avatar".

6. Scroll down to the section entitled "Custom Avatars", and check the thingy labelled "Yes".

7. Click "Browse" to find your chosen avatar on your hard drive.

8. Click "Open".

9. Click "Submit Modifications".

And Voila.

Banners:

Don't know. Don't use them. Not since Dylan convinced me they are evil tools of the Fascist Corporations, anyway...

Okay, got it. Now I can pick a new avatar.
Even if they are corporate shams, I think I'll still try out a banner for at least a little while. I have a JPG that's 400 x 125 pixels, now what? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I think you need to upload it somewhere. If you don't have a site, just ask around, and I'm sure someone will upload it for you...
