I agree with Havoc in the current argument, even if he posted all that shit on 9gag, you can't take everything on the internet seriously. Unless he posted all his guns, tear gas, etc, I don't think it would have warranted an investigation or alarm. Mac, I'm also not sure why you are upset about WB's apology. Sure they are a soulless corporation, but what are they supposed to do other than give a PR apology?.

I'm not upset about it, I just think it was utterly bland and soulless. I was 'deeply saddened' that we all abandoned the AD avatar trend. I am 'deeply saddened' that it's hard to find a store that sells Twinkies around my new home. 50 people getting shot isn't 'deeply saddening', it's frightening and bizarre and really damn fucked up. Among other things.
Can you guys post some examples of people posting threats pertaining to a certain date and location with the purpose of hurting many people that didn't at the very least get a glance from the FBI/rekated agencies? Here are some examples of them actually reacting just in case.
I admit that all signs point to the 9gag thing being a hoax, but that doesn't explain why you think what you do. Here are some legitimate sources that the various agencies do react to internet threats, and typically do "take them seriously." Surprisingly enough, the 'Police and the Army' have very little to do with CYBERCRIME, not sure what makes you think a regimentalized defense force and domestic security donut eaters have to do with it.

Give it a second
Some fuckup threatens a shopping mall:
I love having sources
So they do actually take this shit seriously, and while this invalidates any legitimacy that the 9gag hoax has, it still makes me wonder why you boys are silly enough to think there are people constantly doing this to the point where no unique cases are scrutinized. It just doesn't happen.
