I'm more interested in why he's uploaded his second new animated avatar after it's been made clear that he's breaking a rule.

That's because that specific avatar was uploaded in Firefox and can only be seen properly in Firefox or Opera.

That's irrelevant. You've just got a non-standard GIF. Firefox and Opera work out what to do with it, whilst IE and Chrome say "That's fucked up. I'm not going to play along". Chubfish was smart enough to work out what was going on, but I've deleted his post so that no-one else gets any bright ideas.

Also, Phylum is right. I asked you to change your avatar to one that didn't break the forum rules. Given that you instead changed it to another one that also breaks the rules, I've taken the liberty of deleting it for you. If you do it again, I will remove your ability to upload an avatar entirely.

I'm not going to abuse whatever allows animated images to be put up but just keep an eye out for anything like it or if you can fix it, do that.
