Valve's latest marketing strategy. It's another sale, but a) Everything's in one bundle, b) The games are like, good and c) There's some really freaky shit going on. If you start finding potatoes in your games, let these guys know.

They've kept it secret (uncertainty is more motivating than pressure - evolutionary thing), but it seems that prizes are given out April 5th, so that's my best bet.

I knew this would get confusing.

So basically people are finding symbols of the games in the sale in each other. As well as more potatoes. Example: On the back of a character's jacket in Killing Floor, there is a symbol that resembles the The Ball logo. On the walls of the catacombs in The Ball, there's a symbol that resembles the logo of Defense Grid. You get the idea. If you want to try yourself, the easiest thing you can do is play the Super Meat Boy track "The Battle of Lil' Slugger" in Audiosurf. A giant potato will be present, with glyphs across the skin.

Oh and apparently The Potato Hat is a reference to Portal 2

as evidenced by a marketing image found on the Steam website where the Portal 2 logo was written out with letters ommited.
