Abe's Oddysee - Countdown in Boardroom

Hi,

I am facing a strange thing when in Boardroom (Abe's Oddysee):

The countdown is supposed to start when I pass the door and go to the lower level, but it starts as soon as I am in the upper level and it goes straight from 02:00 to 00:00, without even leaving me the chance to move: the gas is automatically released.
Is this a glitch or did I miss a step somewhere in the game?

It definitely shouldn't be doing that. Where did you did your copy of the game from? If it's from Steam, try re-downloading to make sure all your files are correct. If it's from an old disc, try reinstalling. Backup your save files and you won't lose any progress.

I downloaded from Steam, reinstalled, and no luck... It does the same.

Has no one else reported this bug?
It's pretty funny, if I do say so myself. This is essentially how the game would play out if Molluck wasn't so theatrical with his coup de grace.

Seems clear to me that its a corrupted save or something.. don't think its ever happened to anyone else

Plus he could just use level skip to get to the end to play that level.

What makes that gas coming instantly? I tested that *.sav file O_o

looks like mullock realised that just instantly releasing the gas is a lot more effective than giving abe 2 minutes to get to the boardroom
