I can't wait to see the new version of this game, I'm actually playing through it right now on the ol' xbox....by the way, this may have been covered before but does anyone know who the cut Bounty characters from the game were? I remember reading somewhere there were some wanted posters of the removed characters? Anyone have a link?

Does anyone think JAW will be putting these characters back in?

They're doing some new things, but mainly redoing graphics. We don't know if they'll add new cutscenes, new menus, cut content or new levels. We'll just have to wait and see.

Also, you're first question should be searched, then if you still can't find an answer, posted in Q&A.

Once again guys, it's remastering of the game, not a remake, it's going to be exactly the same, only prettier.

I don't see the point if it is the same story and gameplay. They are better off remaking MO. Surely it is not just a simple import/remake; I am expect it will have more cinematics and new locations.

I don't have a PS3 and it is not worth getting one if it is the same game.

Well don't get one then, because it totally is the same game.

EDIT: unless you want to play it with Move, yeah, that's going to be new.

They said they will be including new content in some form, so I thought I'd take the rational approach. I didn't want to leave "new levels" off because I wanted to stop people asking: "So no new levels?"

All this talk of Stranger makes me want to play it again. Only completed it a few months ago. Think it'll have to be done again before the end of the year.

This developers diary should be interesting to read every month. Will keep me satisfied in the mean time.

Nice that they are adding move though, can see it working quite well for this game.

Xavier, are you awake? You need to start updating TOGG now. New material!

Shouldn't we make a new JAW Developer Diary thread?

Never knew Steef looked so bad on Xbox
He looks pretty good already now, imagine with 20.000 poly's!

Shame, but still I wonder Lanning is wanted to gain by a re-release of the same game in a difference console?

However I suppose surprisingly there are still others who haven't played the game.

I'm gonna wait until they post an image of the model from behind. That's the part the player sees more of, after all, so it should have more work done.

For a double increase in polygons from 3000 to 6000, the PS3 Steef looks far closer to the CGI 529,000 polygon model.

Isn't that weird?

Mmmh? I'll get to it. Max and I are currently investigating new possibilities to make our site go smoother. But don't worry it's in my to do folder.

It actually isn't that weird, I've seen similar behaviour when I was studying CG at my uni. But I can't remember what the explanation was .

It shows how superfuous ~523,000 of those polys are.

I don't know nothing about it, but it is simple.
The more polygons, the more difficult it is to see each individual difference of the polygon, as they are becoming more tiny every time.

So it's not the low polygon that looks so much different to the middle polygon version, that is about the right amount the eye can spot the real difference correctly.
But it is the high polygon that doesn't differ too much from the middle polygon version, because your eye can't spot the real difference anymore, it becomes a bit of a blur, thus it looks much more like a lower polygon model. If a hawk would look at it, it would clearly see the real the differences, as it has much better eye sight.

Lets say at the high polygon model your eye sees a spot of 10 polygons as 1 melted together. Thus about the same as a model that contains 10 times less polygons.

If they've improved upon all the things they said they would, I cannot WAIT to play this.

Edit: PS3, you say? Shit, I need a PS3... SOMEONE SPOT ME 300M.

Just wondering if someone has saved the first version of the model variations picture with "Steef Variations" written in the top left corner instead of the current "Stranger Variations". Actually the version RyuuFox posted, but without it being resized.
