OK I was thinking, maybe we should trail an RPG. Like get the best of the best from this site and work together to make a test of what an oddworld RPG would be like.

Do you mean to take systems/rules from RPs like "The Creeper" jumble em up a bit and create new systems? Then discuss/test them?

I think the use of RPG confused me and made me think of something you'd find on a console/pc.

I myself think that this area could do with some more recent short RPs before this thread could really kick off though.

I honestly think this could work, so anyone willing to join please do. it would mean allot.

anyone who has skills in 3d computer design would be good and programming would be good too.

splat can i ask you to help, I am sure you could do something good, i can design places and creatures and stories for this.

if this works ( which i hope it will) we will have made history.

I will join you sir. I am not a hugely active participant of the RP on these forums but I have more experience on other die hard ones. I suggest it stays text based though instead of sprites and game because it is much harder to pull off. You should create a large RPG with rules, stats, inventories and rewards. I would be willing to help if you like this idea.

I'd love to help out however I have no experience in any form of game development as well as no equipment to do so, not even a PC .

I may be able to help with story but that's all I can think of at the moment.

My main questions at the moment are:
Will this project reach fruition?
What will you (acemind) be doing in the project?

As a game designer/ 3d modeller on the website I think I am allowed to say that all other game designers on the forums want to create their own ideas instead of working together

I understand but if we put the them TOGETHER we could get a pretty good finished product.
So sure you can work on your own but i hope you can consider a full scale project
and I can do some concept art that some one could model in 3d, this is only a theory though, if it does not work them don't worry.

but please consider this.

Yeah I didn't mean any offense man, but if you look around the forum's fan corner everyone already has his or her project, Anyway, we could always just see where this goes and if more people will get interested over time.

Remember that to have a good community gig, you will need someone like a leader, then he is responsible for keeping everything together, assigning people to specific tasks etc. If you would create a "plan of action" more people might get interested.

I think splat should be in charge, he IS the most recognisable person in the fan corner, plus he has organised stuff before and did a good job.

we can have an election of the sort to decide the leader for each division that way things should get going.

We also need some one to be on quite frequently to monitor progress, not the leader but some one to watch and report to the leader.
