[OOC: well, i'll see what i can do, but for right now, Olm's kinda busy... but you can come in after this, for a bit.]
"Look, kid, could you just stay out of the way, I've got a patient to treat here!" Olm didn't mean to snap at the kid, but couldn't he see he was busy? "We can talk later, after I'm through with Spider!" And with that, he led Hunter and Teb into his Hut, and slammed the door in Mirv's face.
Mirv was a little taken aback by Olm's abruptness, but just sighed and sat leaning against the wall, watching the crowds gathering as they heard the news of Spider's return. He was a little startled when a large green shape swooped down past him and sat on the roof, but he'd seen weirder things before...
********************************
A couple of hours later, the door to Olm's hut was thrown open, and Mirv stood, anticipantly, with the rest of the crowd.
A voice rose above the murmuring: "How is he?"
Olm looked up from the doorway. "I think he's going to be okay. He's sleeping now, but I've injected him with antivenom, so he should be fine when he wakes up, if a bit weak."
"Fortunately for you..." Olm looked round the doorframe to see the mayor stood there, framed by four guards, armed with bows.
Olm sighed. "Oh no, not now," he muttered, under his breath. Out loud, he said: "Look, it's solved now, I didn't do anything wrong!"
"That remains to be proven. The fact is that Spider was in your care when he went missing, which makes you the prime suspect."
"But Hunter'll back me up on this one!"
The Mayor smiled thinly. "Ahh, Hunter! Of course, well, he never made a secret of his dislike for, what was his name? Ah yes, Lanar. I wouldn't be surprised if he merely saw this as an opportunity to, shall we say, remove Lanar. Yes, if that is true then we have the two of you down on suspicion of Murder and Kidnapping."
Olm's jaw dropped. "Surely you're not going to arrest me, not when I'm in the process of curing Spider! And anyway, if I'd kidnapped him, why would I now be curing him?"
"A change of heart, maybe? It is of no matter, you still helped to kidnap him, even if you later changed your mind. But don't worry, I'm not going to take you away from your patients... From now on, you and Hunter can consider yourselves under House Arrest." He turned to the Guard Captain. "Seltin, I want you and your men to guard this house. Until we've determined whether or not they're guilty, I don't want either Olm or Hunter to leave it."
Seltin looked at Olm. "Okay, do you want to step inside?" As Olm turned, Seltin patted him on the shoulder. "Don't worry, I'm sure it'll all blow over before long..."
*********************
"I don't believe this!"
Hunter sighed. "Look, when Spider comes round, he'll tell them all what really happened, and it'll all be over!"
Olm stopped his pacing. "Yeah, but until then we're stuck in here, imprisoned as if we'd already been proven guilty!"
Hunter shook his head, and rested it in his hands. "Any idea how long it'll be?"
Olm shook his. "No, he could be out for hours or days."
There was a knock at the door. After a moment, it opened to reveal Seltin.
"There's a kid here, says he wants to see you." He stepped aside to reveal a young mudokon, who stepped inside, closing the door behind him.
Olm frowned. "Ah, Mirv, was it?" The mudokon nodded. "So, what was it you wanted to ask me...?"
