Elm Vanishing?

Alrighty, just got AO on the playstation and I've had something happen that never came up on the PC version. I was killed while riding Elm and now he no longer returns with me when I die. I'm in the second to last part of Paramonia and you need him to jump that pit o' death.

I know what your on about, this happened to me also. I pretty sure I was messing about with Elum and Slig's though when it happened.

I had a previous save on my memory card from not too far back, hopefully you will too.

Dead More AO Weirdness

After that little Elm incident in Paramonia something else strange occurred! The ring you have to pull in the last stage wasn't there! For crying out loud, after getting that far in the last level and the freaking ring didn't load! Anyone else have that happen?

People frequently come onto the forums complaining about bugs in AO or AE. How come I have never been fortunate enough to find one?

Well, most of the bugs you have to do things that are not logical things that a game player would do. That's why run-time bugs are the hardest to discover, because they rely on inputs which cannot be predicted during compiling of the code.

I guess Scrabania is the most bugged place ever in AO (I downlaoded the PC version since my PlayStation Disc is too old to get past the Stockyard Escape, like, before the Monsaic Lines), and I just figured something out. I was playing just now, and look at this.

Yeah, I managed to jump over the bomb, and tis eems it's perfectly normal. Also, in the next cut scene, after I get in the next door, there are some Fireflies that say:

"Run Elum Run"

Well, I was in a suicidal mood at the time and just jumped towards the bomb. Well, Elum Vanished, and abe was just there standing in the air, in a rolling position, and I had to go through all Scrabania again (saved at the beggining of it). So yeah, Scrabania is the weirdest place in AO.

Yes I have jumped accross that gap without triggering the bomb before, it happened twice.

I think that's normal because that's usually how I get past there

Well, the fact that theres a bomb there suggests that it's not normal. There would be no point in it being there otherwise :\

Plus you have a crazy AO :P

Yeah, that's just the point, it's odd that the bomb is there if we can just jump over it. And, damn, I just fell from up there in the Scrabanian Temple, wehre all the doors are, and had to go through the secret passage, plus the whole proceedure before the doors. >_<

I couldn't jump over it all the time, only the two.

Ah, yeah, check this one out, just went through it.

It seems that Abe is right there, next to Scrab, where suposedly he should be crouching. I got this bug by going to the next screen, then dodging the Scrab, coming back, and then jumping towards that little area again. You should try it (remember, I'm using the PC version at this very moment).

Geez, it has been a while ever since I got to Stockyards again to get back to RuptureFarms... This will be kinda tough, now. =P
