*sticks head into a thread on one of his very rare visits. :P* Tired, hate being alone in a weird place, can't sleep. . . So now is the perfect time to tell you lot some ghost stories. I'm crazy.

Firstly if you want a really awesome (and possibly real but I'll leave you to decide for yourself) ghost story, you ought to read this B3ta post. It really did send chills down my spine when I read it first.

But back to me. I've encountered weird things in my life. Fancy a long story or two? :P (No-one will read this, I swear)

I'll start with the creepiest. Me and my friend work together as gardeners for an old man whom we know - He lives ontop of a hill surrounded by woods and fields. Across the road from him is an abandoned bungalow which I discovered one day while walking around the area.

Together me and my friend went to this bungalow to check it out and see if there was anything worth salvaging. The garden was overgrown with brambles, house wasn't maintained, roof tiles falling off, cracks in the walls, paint peeling from doors and windowframes. . . Typical abandoned building, but peering through one of the windows, it looked very much like an old couple used to live there or something and nobody bothered to clear up after them when they died. Their household items and furniture were strewn across the floor amoungst the damp rubble of collapsed ceilings and wall plaster.

It was the late afternoon when we entered the driveway - As I said we walked toward the house, peered inside the windows, saw the mess, decided that I didn't want to go in there yet, my friend agreed with me, then we looked toward an old run-down caravan that was parked on thier driveway.

On the side of the house near the caravan was a little porch that had a large window on the front of it, and an open door on the back for access. The late afternoon sun shone through the door and against the window.

When I turned toward the caravan, I found an abandoned shovel that was new but had been sitting underneath the caravan for a long time. I crouched down and pulled it out, knowing that we needed one at our workplace. I stood up and noticed that my friend was looking shocked and staring toward the porch, so I immediately turned to see what he was so shocked about.

I heard no footsteps. I was croched down right next to the porch and would've heard it if someone was moving inside there. There was a silhouette of someone who was staring at us out of the large porch window, against the sunset shining through the door behind them. They were positioned directly in the middle of the window and were standing very VERY still. Writing this sends chills to my spine and makes me more alert at even the slightest movements within the room I'm in now. I didn't see a face - Just a shadow, even though I was close enough to the window to of been able to see who it was.

"Uhm, run. NOW." I held onto the shovel and we both ran very fast, boosted by adrenaline rushes.

Very fucking creepy. Later I found out that my friend was watching me pull the shovel out and only looked down at me for a second - He saw the silhouette when he looked back at the window the next second. Like it appeared suddenly while he was glancing away.

It happened about 4 or 5 years ago but I'm sure as fuck not going back there again. :S It still creeps me out a hell of a lot and I always think about it when I walk past there and see that window. . . Boaurgh.

Second story.

A less scray encounter with a ghost of sorts. Back in 2007 I was staying in Leipzig in Germany with my (recent) Ex, Alector - She moved into an attic flat within a really (1800s) old building for 3 months during the end of my stay there with her, shortly before she briefly moved in with me for a year.

The neighbour of our attic flat once claimed that she saw a figure of a small man walking through the walls of her flat - She isn't normally the type who sees ghosts or weird things. She immediately ran down to her friend who lived 2 floors below and spent the night with her instead. This was about half a year before we moved in.

During our stay in the attic flat, I noticed something was odd about the place, especially since it was always cold by the entrance door in the living room but warm around the rest of the flat, even with the heating on.

At night time we slept in the bedroom. We had to remove the door between the living room and the bedroom since we installed a new floor. And I hated being in the bedroom while looking toward the dark, dark living room doorway. It always felt like there was something weird in there.

One day I was sitting at the computer table with Alector and I felt something on the opposite side of me. She said she saw a black shoulder-shaped object beside me even though I didn't notice it. Then we both felt like we were being watched for the rest of the night.

Another night I was dozing off in bed next to Alector. Then I felt awake again and wasn't sure why I didn't want to doze off anymore. Alector stirred in her sleep - I opened my eyes and looked toward the door. I was half-asleep, but I think I saw the outline of a white face against a wall within the living room - It was incredibly vague and lasted only about 2 or 3 seconds so I might of imagined or dreamed it. Then I went back to sleep again somehow, only remembering it properly in the morning afterwards.

Later on when I was back home in the UK breifly and had left her there on her own, she said she saw a lot of creepy shit within the flat. Weird high-pitched noises, little while lights floating around the room, weird temperature changes that rendered the heating inadequate. . .

Very odd. Not so scary, but even so. I wonder what it was.

There are other stories but they're not so interesting. I bet no-one's bothered to read this far anyway. :P lol

I'm not really a superstitious person. But there was this one weird thing that happened:

There was a family get to gether at this park place. My parents forced me to go. So any way after driving for about three quarters of an hour we finnaly get there but the was no car parks left so we had to park a few streets away on a hill. My dad got out of the drivers seat, forgeting to put on the handbrake. Then the car started rolling uphill.

Smack fuelled cars, that would be interesting.
Each slap that you give the person next to you would power the car for 1 mile

Thankyou for explaining Salamander and not getting the joke.

Also, crack == cocaine.

Technically, crack is a form of cocaine, not just a slang term for it.

Fact.

TINY EDIT: Thank you Nathan
