Interesting theory (Not official) Just a thought!

I have an interesting thought that might be true but I doubt it. It is in reguards to the comming Oddworld movie it maybe kind of a stupid notion but hear me out. It also has some sort of connection to I guess to a very old concept of Oddworld itself that was stated on the Oddworld website way back when the Old Oddworld.com was around. This was way before Munch and right around the production of AO and AE. Anyway what it talked about was that Oddworld was big very big and say people on one side of Oddworld would be completely alien to people from another part of Oddworld. Thus far we discovered a very small corner of Oddworld on the continent of Mudos through the stories of Abe, Munch, and Stranger. However there is the entire world to consider. Now this is a silly idea but hear me out, what if say the main races that exist on the other side of Oddworld are very advance and very close resembling humen beings but are more like sub humen to an extent but yet still closer to a humen and not like Mudokins? Which in turn can make this concept come to life in reguards to being completely alien to each other.

Now in relationship to the movie and the concept art that has already been seen by the public, we have a city, a bunch of characters that don't quite look like Mudokins and actually to me look a lot like humen like people intermix with Mudokins, and cave art that has earth like features dypicted in the art.

Now many would dismiss this idea that advance sub humen races co exist with the type of Oddworldian races that we know and love because its just not Oddworld. However it is truely Oddworld if you think about that old concept that I stated above how races from one part of Oddworld are different and completely alien to each other from another part of Oddworld. I don't like compareing the races that we seen so far being alien to each other because phisically and mentally they are by far similar in ways, It just doesn't match up uniquely as say introduceing a humen like race in the mix and making them extremely advance. An advance human like race liveing on the other side of Oddworld would indeed be like alien to races of Mudos in terms of phisical attributes, Mental characteristics, and most important technology.

For instance if you dident notice I see ships flying in the background of this piece, and those sckyscrapers look to me as if they are in a highly advance metropolis like Coruscant in Star Wars. It looks so unlike Mudos, it also doesnt look like Magog Cartel technology. It looks extremely advance and more like human technology in terms of archetecture of the buldings. It also resembles Mudos races intermingling with advance races from perhaps other continents. Here is the picture you be the judge. Those characters closer to the building look more human than Mudokin with Mudokins among them and of course octigi standing above them. To me it Oddworld went to Coruscant and this is a place where you will find people from all over Oddworld liveing.

Interesting speech there PA. But I reckon some of them are Muds. Look at the one on the far right, the one which is closest. You can make out a ponytail on his head. But you are right, a lot of them don't look like Mudokons at all.

Interesting theory. I've wondered what goes on on the other continents of Mudos. When I first saw that concept image, I immediately thought of Nolybab. Max disagrees and thinks that Nolybab would be more like Hollywood, but I don't know. Other puns in the Oddworld universe weren't necessarily their direct meaning. Aslik was more smarmy than sycophantic; Phleg didn't seem to have breathing problems.

I imagined Nolybab to be a smoggy combo of 1930s New York and modern Las Vegas, but whatever.

I'm pretty sure that picture is, or is related to, Rupture Farms.

I think that all the species on Oddworld are different from humans, even if their technology is similar.

Well if those aren’t Mudokons, they look even less like humans. I agree, creatures from the other side of Oddworld would be completely alien to our familiar cast, but I have to ask you why they would appear in the Oddworld films. We haven’t explored even a tiny part of Mudos, yet everyone is so eager to explore beyond its boundaries without seeing all the mysterious, hidden stuff that’s yet to come from the races we already know.

As for this advanced city, it’s true we have little to compare it to on Earth, but this is a city with capitalism and commercialism heavily exaggerated, hence the neon signs and towering dwellings/offices. And hovering vehicles? Oddworld already has hovering technology.

And teleporters are more advanced than things people use, so I think Mudos is also very advanced in technology. Someone on Mudos probably knows what's on the other continents. Maybe someone from another continent lives on Mudos. Anyway, all species on Oddworld are odd, that's what they all have in common.

I need to get a sense of prospective! For me, Mudos is Oddworld, and anywhere without Abe is weird(er) to me.

Mudos is also weird. Everything Oddworld-related is weird.

I dont know about another species altogether. It all relates to MO :L but seeing an ocktogi (sorry if wrong spelling) is a first. Mostly you see Glukkons in mudo part of oddworld. I would dismiss the fact that mudokons have no advance technology. I would say they are a sub species of us humans. It is the Glukkons who have the advance technology and they hire mudokons as slave. When Abe or whoever saves them they use that technology to fit their needs. Mudokons appear too native to be killing and smashing sligs. It is technology that change them that way.

As for Glukkons and their decentants would live in the cities. They can build advance factories, why cant they build skyscrapers. It from the ingenius mind of the vykkers i guess.

The creatures probably are glukkons or something and are peculiar shape because of the distance and light. If you watch AI the movie. When you first see David he appears that way.

As for the mudokons some of their ponytail chopped off to allow them to wear hats. This is shown in MO. =P Maybe it is one step further into shaving completely bald for another job.

Another thing isnt that FeCo depot at the background? The place in AE. I recognise the Glukkon mouth opening. It similar technology.

About the technology thing, I think Glukkons are more into mechanics; its the Vykkers that have the computer type stuff

This thread contains possibly the biggest load of bollocks I've ever read on a fan forum.
It's amazing what people read into things.
